The installation is not super difficult, but it is definitely annoying. You need to heat up your old case with a hair dryer then peal & remove the built in NFC antenna, rendering it useless. You must then exactly align the new receiver on the case back perfectly with very strong 3M adhesive. If you don't get the alignment perfectly, your wireless charging and/or NFC will not work. You must then peal off the adapter very carefully as not to tear it so you can re-align again.I found an easier installation trick when installing two of these. Ignore the alignment measurement guide. Peal the protective film off the 3M adhesive exposing the sticky side, then place two strips of scotch tape on either side of the adapter on the 3M sticky side and then apply it to the phone, not the case, 3M sticky side up, wireless adapter taped on either side to the phone. This allows you to align the NFC and wireless charging contacts and you can easily reposition with the tape. While the wireless adapter is being held in place with the tape, and the 3M adhesive is facing up, carefully align one side of the back case on the phone, then press to close, applying slight pressure on the case to make the 3M adhesive stick to the case. Test the wireless charging, and test the NFC with another phone. If it works, you can remove the case, pull up either side of the wireless adapter slightly to remove the tape easily, then put the case back on. If you didn't get the alignment right, the scotch tape you applied allows you to much more easily remove the wireless adapter without tearing it so you can try again.I use it with the Seneo 3-coil charger which works very well even through a medium sized case: http://amzn.to/1QGx2MS

Edit 03/14/2017---------------------The vendor for the charging pad sent a "fast charge" version as a replacement and I'm now able to get consistent performance out of the setup. The antenna appears to be working fine, but could probably use some amended installation instructions (perhaps a low-tack tape to position the antenna directly on the battery so that you can directly line up the contact points and then peel off the high-stick backing and press the cover on. Additionally, I have to note that this antenna and/or the G4 seems very sensitive to the charger you're using.Edit 03/08/2017---------------------I think I gave a 2-star review too hastily. Adding both a charging pad AND a Qi antenna at the same time makes it difficult to say which component is not behaving (could be user installation error, too, though I'd like to think I did a decent job of it).I do get the same basic behavior with a coworker's Qi pad and his phone (not an LG) seems to work with my pad, so that's a couple of data points there.NeWisdom's support has been proactive in contacting me to help resolve my issues, so with some luck we'll see if this can't turn into a 5-star review with a little technical support.Original Review---------------------Used with LG G4 and Pictek Wireless Charger, (Ultra Slim) (Sleep-Friendly) Qi Wireless Charging Pad for Qi Enable Devices. I have been unable to get a full charge using this product after several days of trying.The antenna appears to work sometimes - I can put the phone on the charging pad and it will detect/handshake and begin charging, but some short time later the charging stops and the pad indicates an error condition. Since I began using both at the same time it's difficult to say which one isn't working correctly. The phone does not indicate any errors, just that it is no longer charging, but nowhere near full.I have a thin TPU case on the phone and it seems to work "better" without the case installed, but still doesn't get near a full charge. I suspect the curved back on the G4 adds a level of difficulty since portions of the antenna are farther away from the pad's transmitter than others.Suggestions from the manufacturer would be appreciated if they're still reading reviews.

I am a firm believer that you get what you pay for. I purchased the charging and NFC antenna for my phone and my wife’s phone because our son kept ruining our charging cables and it seems easier to just charge wirelessly.First, the packaging and instructions are clear and concise. It also helps that there are youtube videos that show you how to install these antennas as it would have been an issue without them.Finally, the antenna itself, there is nothing more to say than bravo. I know it says made in China, however that does not seem to be an issue because, let’s be honest, so is my phone. I was a bit scared to try these out at first and made sure that I did the first one at work where I have a desk lamp that is extremely bright. It was much easier than expected and only took a few minutes to remove the old one and install this one. I recommend not only watching the youtube videos prior to purchase but also looking at what chip/antenna your phone currently has by opening the back of the phone.
