Great Product
I recently was diagnosed as having Raynaud's Phenomenon (although, it's been a long time coming, my hands in a comfortable temperature room often feel like ice to others and my nails would take on a purplish hue) and I also live in Fairbanks, AK where, as you would imagine, it can get quite cold. I ordered these because of the other reviews and I figured it would help save a few bucks on buying the big packages of disposable hand warmers at the sports store. They work great, although I use them more for in the office if I get a little cold or when I've just come in from the cold. They are a bit large, so I don't think I would be able to fit them into my gloves or anything when I have to work outside. Also, it was pretty accurate that they last about 30 minutes. I can get about 45 minutes out of them. I also really enjoy the whole reaction process because it just looks neat. They are really easy to reactivate and an instruction card comes with the order. I bought a silicon steamer to put in a pot so they don't touch the bottom and because I felt better knowing the warmers weren't resting on something metal. I think I may order some more and possibly some of the other sizes as I've also put these on my shoulders when I've had a tension headache and they've helped a lot, but I believe the company makes some other shaped warmers that would work better. I would recommend these to anyone who gets cold easily, and when I move back to the south I think they'll be great in the fall at football games when it's not really cold enough for gloves. I love the heart shapes because they're so fun.

Practically useless
I wonder if altitude makes a difference in the way this product works -- I am in Colorado and these HotSnapZ stay warm for less than 5 minutes when I'm inside my house (tried it just to see), and even less time when I'm outdoors in the cold. They become hard and inflexible almost immediately. Several times now I've let them boil for very long periods, then pulled them out, and as they cooled off half of them would harden up again. I put them in my closet after boiling, and for weeks they were fine, then one day, two of them were hard. They are almost useless and certainly not worth the time and effort to recharge. I am shocked that some people report theirs stay warm for 40-60 minutes outdoors. I would not buy again, but I gave half of them to my mother, so I cannot return them.

Outdoor preschool loves Hotsnapz!
I teach at an outdoor preschool in Seattle and while we do not get the minus degree temps a lot of the country gets, it does get quite cold for our little ones to e out for two hours at a time. Hotsnapz give us that short repreive from the chill and is a joy for the children to watch as it changes. These do not last very long, 40 minutes perhaps if it's tucked in your pocket. But for us it is just enough to chase away the chill before it's time to head home.

Exactly what I was looking for
I have used this type of hand warmers in the past, and I loved them. I've been looking for replacements for several years, but they were always too expensive. Finally, I found these at a great price, and bought them, hoping they were not cheaply made knockoffs. I was happy to find that the quality is good, and they work well. I am very happy with this purchase, and would recommend them to anyone who wants a good quality hand warmer. In the past, I have also used the lighter fluid type hand warmers, but they were too much trouble, and I didn't like the smell, especially in enclosed spaces. They were also hard to light, and it was difficult to regulate the heat output. These reusable hand warmers are easy to use, and only have to be boiled to be recharged. Very convenient. I should mention that due to the nature of these items, they put off quite a bit of heat, but only for about 45 minutes to an hour. After that, they stay slightly warm for about another 30 minutes. If you carry spares, you can just pop another one in your pocket, and stay warm as long as necessary. It was nice that this order is for 8 hand warmers, so it's easy to have spares to last all day.I often travel and camp during the winter in an unheated, uninsulated fiberglass travel trailer. At night, I put one of these hand warmers at the bottom of my sleeping bag to keep my feet warm. When one quits giving off heat, I just pop another one, keeping my feet warm all night.

Useful quick heating product
When I first saw this product used during a blood draw, I was intrigued right away. Watching the small packet heat up almost instantaneously was mesmerizing. I then searched for the product and found it here and, after I ordered a few for my own personal use, I have never been happier with such an amazing product. It's usefulness when I need to calm a raging headache or to warm my freezing hands when stuck some place freezing-cold, has been a life-saver. It is also very easy to reuse so long as you have a microwave or stove to boil water nearby. Otherwise, you may need to stock up so you have a few extra around at home or while out and about. The only complicated part is I have found that heating these up can vary from place to place. I have found that traveling to higher elevations changes the time needed in the microwave. Thuds, there is some variance on how long it takes to reactivate for future use. Just proceed cautiously and don't assume that it will always take the same amount of time every time you re-heat for future re-use.

Short time, no seller contact
This are horrible. They don't even last 10 minutes. My average so far is 3 minutes. For the amount I paid I expected more. They are irritating to reset- you have to stand over a pot of boiling water until they decrystalize, and guess what? that takes over 10 minutes per warmer! I tried to contact the seller about this and got no response.I purchased cheap ones from michaels craft store a few years ago that were the same size but no-name brand and shaped like snow men and they lasted 30 minutes at least and only took about 5 minutes to reset. Unfortunately I lost them. I only paid $1 a piece for those.
