Bought this for my preschool daughter as she loves learning about awesome things people have done, be it in everyday life or in the Bible. There are no female heroes featured among its pages. This book suggests that only men can be heroes, or that the only heroes in the Bible were men, when we know for certain that that wasn't the case. The writers/publishers have missed a trick there to encourage only one half of their demographic, boys, and not the other half, girls. Such a shame. Not sure I even want to give this to a boy as, again, it suggests that females just weren't able to be heroes, not a concept I'm willing to bolster.

Had read some previous reviews and was a little worried this book might be too young since I wanted it for children going to school for the first time (aged 4-5years). But I need not have worried. It's totally age appropriate for those just about to start school with a good range of puzzles and activities for them to try. And stickers are always a hit - these ones are brightly coloured, a good size and quality and not those fiddly tiny ones that tear when you peel them. The pages are good quality and brightly coloured so the book looks attractive to small people. There is a short one paragraph summary of the story in child friendly language on each page. The stories include Noah, Joseph, Moses (basket and plagues), Jericho/Joshua, Samson, David, Daniel and Jonah.

I brought these for my Sunday school students and it is great. Has lots of stickers indise whice my students love. They are even able to sit quietly in service and do these alone.

great way to introduce the bible... always use real bible though stories are changed slightly kid friendly
