I've tried many wallets over the years and this one might be my favorite. The vertical wallet is the perfect balance between minimalism and the full functionality one would get with a standard sized wallet. The slate gray leather is really nice looking, and the stitching is flawless. The craftsmanship and attention to detail make this a high quality item at an extremely affordable price point. I've tried a couple of the cheap ones on amazon's best seller list, and those always fall apart within a years time. There are 4 card pockets, as well as two "stash" pockets on either size. When fully loaded, it works well in both my front pocket and back pocket. The packaging that is comes in is really impressive and makes the unboxing experience enjoyable. The maker even included a short handwritten note - I thought that was a nice added touch. I would highly recommend this slim vertical wallet if you are interested in downsizing from a standard bifold wallet, but still want plenty of room to store your cash and cards.

I purchased the Mountaineer for my husband and me so we could downsize from our over-sized wallets. I had looked at other minimalist wallets and found them to be far too extreme, losing most utility and capacity for someone who carries more than a couple bills and a few cards.This wallet offered a perfect compromise for both of us; a slim package with full functionality. The leather is the real deal. It is durable, yet not overly thick, and has a ton of character. The wallet holds 1-12 cards with additional room in the two side pockets. My husband has been carrying it comfortably in both his front and back pocket. We are already recommending this wallet to friends interested in a slimmer wallet, but who are turned off from the metal or cheap leather credit card wallets. Although there are less expensive offerings out there, it appears this is going to be well worth the price for the quality and craftsmanship.

I've been having issues finding a wallet I like for the past 10 years. The search is finally over. This wallet is sleek, simple, and gratifying both visually and to the touch. Even the sound it makes when you slap it down on the coffee table after a long day or shut it at the register after paying is satisfying. It's weird to enjoy something as simple as a wallet this much, but when its something you use every day it stands to reason. It's been months since I purchased it and I still admire and appreciate it daily. Highly recommend for both the price and quality.
