It's more like 3/4" size. If you have the standard LED fairy ball lights this is too small to hold them.

The charm looks beautiful as is. And when it lights up, it's an attention grabber (especially in a dark setting). The problem is that getting the batteries inside the charm take A LOT of adjusting and moving around to get it to work. Then often times inserting the battery/light piece back into the charm knocks the batteries out of alignment again. Its a frustrating feeling akin to trying to find the right temperature in your shower but with only two possible options. On the off-chance that this was just my unit, I gave this a "3 star" rating. But it's more like a "2" in terms of expectations and execution.

I really loved this! So much that I wanted one in every color. After a brief search, I found the answer: LED balloon lights! They are EXACTLY THE RIGHT SIZE to fit inside the metal 'cage'! They come in a variety of colors or ones that change color. And you can reinsert the battery 'tab' in them to save the charge. They come in a pack of 100 for $10-15.

This pendant looks great. My wife loves wearing it. It seems well made. The reason it is getting only four stars is because there is no way, as far as we can tell, to turn it off other than to open it and remove the battery. I really wish there were a switch.

This looked fabulous and delighted my friends when it lit up the night. it looks like a little pink firefly caught in a tiny round cage. I would like it even more if there was a button to turn it on and off without removing or separating the batteries, but for once in a while use, that's not a problem. Be careful that the latch is snapped all the way shut. I ran for a few steps and managed to open it up.

Cute necklace but the one I received did not light up. It DID come with extra batteries but those don't work either so I'll order new ones. Ordered LOTS of other items from Umbrella Factory throughout the years and this is the only time something didn't work. Keeping the necklace. If nothing else, it's really good for essential oil locket pads.

Absolutely love this item. Only reason for its rating is:light device falls apart too easy so be carefulAnd the necklace is cheap enough to easily bend and warp. Next thing you know the latch wont stay closed but too late, light fixture is lost.I buy this for everyone though. The effect never fails to get plenty of praise

Three stars because the description says it’s 1 inch in diameter when in fact it’s smaller at 3/4 of an inch in diameter basically the size of a penny and the chain is 17 and 7/8ths. Outside of that it is very elegant and although smaller then I had hoped it will serve its purpose on my Scottish Steampunk Airship Pirate Costume that I’m wearing to Evermore Park in Utah. Not worth the $14.99 price tag. This should go for $9.99.
