Cushing's Disease in Dogs: A Comprehensive Guide to Cushing's Disease in Dogs Written by Veterinary Expert Dr. Gordon Roberts

Good, but with limitations
I think it is a good book, as far as it goes. I did learn a lot about Cushings disease in dogs. However, I learned almost NOTHING about what food to prepare for a dog with Cushings. So this book has limits. I appreciate that it was written by a vet, with experience with dogs with Cushings. Worth it's price (as a Kindle book). But please note the limitations.

Very informative and helpful.
It helped to ease the worries I had. I learned about my dogs disease, when to notify my vet., about drug interactions that can occur, importance of giving right dosage and important to go follow up visits. Thank you Dr. Gordon!

Not "comprehensive" at all - total waste of money
Everything in this book is available in basically every Cushings forum I have seen online. The authors limited view that western medicine is the one and only legitimate treatment ignore what is commonplace knowledge in today's society that wholistic remedies can be amazing supplements to traditional treatments. Even basic concepts like using melatonin or herbs to calm high anxiety are not mentioned in this "book." I thought he might discuss diet since the pancreas and other digestive organs are impacted, but no. All he talks about is pharmaceutical drugs. He dismisses the entire concept of wholistic approaches in one paragraph. TOTAL waste of money and time (although it only took 8 minutes to read the entire thing and I had seen it all before).

Mydog had tentatively been diagnosed with Cuching's disease, and ...
Mydog had tentatively been diagnosed with Cuching's disease, and this was most helpful in understanding both the disease and treatment.

Not worth it, in my opinion
I did not find it helpful. A short book.

It is a rip off!
What a rip off! This little tiny booklet for $17.00 is the biggest rip off I've had in quite awhile. It begs for me to warn buyers of thinking about ordering it. If you can imagine an instruction type manual that you might receive with a small appliance. That's the size of this "book - let". I'm returning it for a refund. The author should be ashamed of himself for allowing any publisher to handle it for such a rip off price tag. It is like what my vet would have as a "free information" booklet on the Cushings Disease. Shame on you!

Good but doesn't cover atypical cushings
Wish I had known before I purchased, but good information for those with dogs diagnosed with regular forms of the disease.

Do not buy this pamphlet....
I was very angry when a pamphlet arrived today - which cost me $16.99. WOW. I guess it was my fault that I thought it would be more comprehensive then just a limited address of the issue of Cushing's Disease in Dogs. WHAT A RIP OFF.
