TEACH YOURSELF COMPLETE SANSKRIT

The book is compact and yet comprehensive. One can use it to learn Sanskrit as well as to refer as Grammer book. Though if you already know devnagri script or Hindi, you may get puzzled up with pronunciation guide, which you actually don't need. Else an excellent book, which I am using as a reference book for Sanskrit Grammer.

I had a little bit disappointment about this book, at many places the author has given the Sanskrit words in English only but I prefer to read them in Sanskrit script also.

Probably I would have given better rating if I were not an Indian.I like the initial chapters except the first. In the later chapters the author has not given devanagari script at allAll sentences are transliteration into English. That is very bad.In summary it serves my purpose to a limited extent.

Ce livre est sensé d'être utilisé par un débutant... ce n'est pas possible, je crois. Moi, je connais un peu le sansrit (restons modestes), et moi, je l'apprécie. L'auteur nous dit des choses que l'on ne trouve pas ailleurs.Entre autres, en parlant de l'écriture, il conseille les gauchers! C'est unique! Et autres choses... si vous voulez le savoir, achetez le livre! Vous en aurez pour un moment!

I find this book very technical and unintuitive to learn from. Though it may contain a lot of correct information, I find it overloaded for someone who just wants to get a first familiarity with Sanskrit. Maybe for technical linguists it is a delight to read. Another point of criticism is the small print of the devanagiri and other text elements.

Haven't read yet but because I used the same series on Hindi learning so I purchased this. Hope it helps sincerely.

Super dense to read. But it will absolutely take you from 0 to level 4 Sanskrit.

Un ottimo libro (praticamente introvabile in Italia) a meno di €20. Quando l'ho visto, dopo mesi di ricerche, non riuscivo a crederci. Non conoscevo l'edizione con questa copertina, ma il contenuto è lo stesso delle precedenti. Le parole in sanscrito si leggono in modo chiaro. Contiene un dizionario Inglese/Sanscrito Sanscrito/Inglese più che sufficiente per lo svolgimento degli esercizi proposti.
