Silhouette 3D allows you to import pre-created 3D files that you have designed yourself (as long as the file is saved is saved as .STL, .OBJ and .S3D type file) or from sites like Thingiverse, drag pre-created files in from the Silhouette Design store including 2D designs you may have created for your Silhouette Digital Cutting tool. Once your file has been imported into the software you can then easily turn that design into up to 40 different objects including items like jewelry boxes. Another great feature within the software to make your design experience as easy and fun as possible is the inclusion of Silhouette Snap Kits. Each pre-created design from the Silhouette Store has Snap Kit anchor points, simply import your design onto the on-screen design plate, click onto the Snap Kits options, choose your desired custom object to add onto your design, drag it over and lock it onto the design and voila, your naked Rubber Ducky design now has a cool pair of sunglasses.
