Listen Only 3.5mm Acoustic Tube

I was looking for a means to listen to music I'm writing on my computer while listening to boring sermons at church. It would obviously be quite disrespectful to play back the melody during someone's speech, and putting headphones on would distract just as much! So I was looking for an earpiece that would be for one ear, not obvious to those around me when I slip it on, and give me the sound that no one else could hear. This piece works great! The internal column of air gives a loud, sharp sound transmission that transmits to no one else, even those sitting right next to me! So if you want to be productively active while listening to long public dissertations, get this! Also, it has two clips so that it's easy to put in place close to the head while also anchoring the length below at same time. Very steadily secured so doesn't flip out and again attract unwanted attention!

I use this primarily to listen to audiobooks on train and walking in city, so I can hear out of one ear and not get mowed down by out of control taxi drivers or robbed in subway by flash mobs of unruly teens.Sound is clear, construction is solid and is clearly built to withstand moisture and rain. I am more satisfied with this item than I expected because it looks cheap and flimsy. It isn't. The only thing I would recommend is to purchase a 3.5mm cord extender, they are cheap on Amazon and made it easier for me to connect to my phone without it pulling on me. Mind you I am 6'4 so it may not be necessary if you are shorter than that with a more compact torso.Either way I would recommend for a sleek, low profile look and quality sound.

I work law enforcement in a very wet, rainy area and this is perfect for what I need. I had a much more expensive 2 wire microphone/earpiece set, and in the last torrential rain storm I got caught in it died. The mic got waterlogged quick. My department radios have hand microphones with the 3.5mm jack so I gave this a try. I've used it at two major scenes outside in the rain with no problems so far. I can but 5 of these for the price of a cheap 2 wire system, so I'm going to keep using these ones to save me some $$$ since my department doesn't pay for the earpieces.

I am very happy with the product, but two issues. First, a lot of condensation forms in the tube and makes the sound very muffled. Second, the clear tubing from the ear down to the black plastic connector often gets disconnected at the plastic connector. I have remedied this problem by relaxing how tightly I connect the tubing to my vest.

It gets the job done. The speaker isn't all that clear, and the tip attached grows uncomfortable over time. I have another one of these from a different maker and have a custom molded earpiece that is much more comfortable. Sadly this piece does not have a small enough adapter at the clear end to fit into the earpiece.

I have used earpiece for a little over a month. Yesterday, I thought my battery went dead because I lost all traffic in my ear, but then I noticed my earpiece was loose. The wire on the bottom of black piece completely stripped out of its housing, leaving 1/2 in. of bare copper wires sticking out of the end. The clincher is that the return policy expired just a couple of days ago, so now I'm stuck with this broken unit. I guess I got my money's worth. I won't buy another of this brand.

Considering Telex earpieces are $50, this thing is a steal. Sounds fine. Cable is barely long enough for a tall person if you're listening to a beltpack.

Ordered this product to go with a set of ear plugs (that are designed for the acoustic tube setup) and the system works great. Even better, the package arrived with a missing piece and after emailing the seller a replacement for the missing piece was in my mailbox within 2 days. Great product, great customer service.
