Komelon EV2825 25' x 1" Self-Lock Evolution Tape Measure, 1-Pack

I had bought the 16ft measure a few years ago and loved it. While measuring something the other day, I had stepped on it and flattened the tape. I forced the tape back into the casing and when I'd pull it out a little, it resisted, and would not auto rewind. So I went and bought the 25' to replace the 16' I sadly broke. While waiting for the new one to arrive, I fiddled with the 16' a bit more, pulling it all the way out and then letting it rewind and it worked fine and is close to how it once was (the tape still has a little bit of flatness where I stepped on it but it doesn't seem to hinder any longer)I will be keeping the 25' because it's just such a really great tape measurer! I love how it locks by default when you pull the tape out and you press the button to release it, rather than the reverse of it retracting unless you press the button. It took a little to get used to but not very long and now I definitely prefer the auto lock with the press to release.Clearly, I'd buy the product again because this was a 2nd purchase. I went directly to my old orders on Amazon to find it so I knew I was replacing it with the same thing (because you know how amazon can be, although even going directly to the product doesn't always guarantee accuracy)I like how large the print is- my eyesight isn't great and it's nice to not squint to see the numbers or the increments. i got a different color so I'd be able to quickly discern which tape is which. It's very rugged- the older one having been dropped numerous times without any issues. And, as stated above, it's incredibly resilient when some flat footed dolt stands on it for awhile and flattens the tape.

Very great. If you have ever used a regular tape measure you know the feeling when you get it out to just about the right distance and you lose your grip, zip, it returns to the case, zip, very quickly. With this you will be very happy because when you get it out to the distance you need it self locks and stays there until you press the release button then it retracts very well. Enjoy using it. The self-locking feature on this Komelon tape measure is exactly what I was looking for. The blade stays extended without having to hold a lock in place, and the push-button release makes retracting it quick and simple. For the way I use a tape measure, that setup is much more convenient than a traditional sliding lock.The large numbers are another strong point. Combined with the high-visibility blade, measurements are easy to read at a glance, even when you are working quickly.Overall, this is a practical 25-foot tape measure with a locking system that feels intuitive and a blade that is much easier to read than many standard tapes.

I have ordered these tape measures many timesthe last two orders i bought 3 at a time,and both packages arrived with one of the tape measures missing the screw that holdsthe clip to the tape measure. not sure why this is.i just found another screw in the shop that fit and went on with my day.1st time was odd, but the 2nd time made me think this wasn't a coincidence

I purchased this a couple years ago for my son who was doing some construction work for me. Last week we were on another project for his sister and it got stepped on while it was extended and on its edge. That put a fold in it and when I tried to flatten it back out a piece cracked. I cut off the loose piece but even though it looked like the rest was returned to the original shape it would not retract. Thank goodness for Prime (and our backup 25' tape).

Good quality, and I like that it stays in place when I pull it out. It's easy to press the button to retract it.

Both sides have writing Both sides have a tongue and the thing feels quality. I would not trust it with a 10 foot drop but its great for noncommercial work or if you know you won't drop it. It is functionally superior to every other tape measure I have used and were it made of metal it would be perfect for commercial but for the price it's better than what the department stores are selling at brand name.

Three things stand out about this measuring tape: 1. It’s marked on both sides with 90 degree “catches” at 0” both top and bottom. This has come in handy in the first few days of use. 2. It’s 30’ long, not 25’. I’m siding sections of a house that are a bit over 26’ and what a pain it was with a 25’ tape. 3. The tape locks when you pull it out and coils back when you press the unlock button. So sensible!

Considérant que tout, ou presque, est fabriqué en Chine, plus besoin d'allez chez les Rona de ce monde pour réaliser qu'il n'en n'ont pas, donc du kilométrage pour rien, et qu'il nous l'aurait vendu plus cher encore.A+ pour ce produit.

I work in a shipyard and this tape has held up to the beating I've thrown at it. Great vibrate colors and marking love it

After about a week the self lock stopped working on both of these that I ordered. Have had another one that I bought at Princess Auto that worked great for a few years. Kind of defeats the reason I bought them.
