SaFPWR Fusion Charging Case (Black) for HTC Vivid

Am between 3 and 5 stars; I've purchased two of these for an HTC Vivid phone. I liked this that much. They worked great for the 3+ years the phone was in use. The first worked until the USB port became loose. The second had the same thing to a lessor degree - would not hold a charge. The battery may have been worn out by its second owner keeping the phone plugged in constantly. Wish that was more sturdy; so the low rating.The fit is great. Extending the power connecting arm the phone can be put into the case before completing the case by attaching the end cap. The end cap is not super sturdy so some caution must be exercised. It protects the phone. Keeps the phone charged (until the USB connector loosens or the battery will not hold a charge.) Does thicken the HTC Vivid which is a nice slim device. Still fits into a pocket without issue.

Decided to go with this over the bigger battery/back cover for my HTC VIVID but did not like the $50 price tag. After waiting a while, I saw one vendor sell it for $18.99....Thought it was a mistake but it wasn't. I received the product and charged it over night. Fit like a glove on my VIVID, however it does make the phone bulky and heavier. No problem as I was charging my phone twice a day. This product eliminates this. My wife, who also has a VIVID has a second battery but has to turn off the phone to swap the battery. She prefers this over mine as weight and size is a big thing with her. Bottom line, if you don't mind the bulkiness, go with this product. You won't regret it. One last thing. I often use my radio feature on my phone, somehow the reception suffers a bit with the Fusion 2.

I bought the original at AT&T with my phone. It has an unconditional 1 year replacement warranty, provided the AT&T store had them in stock. The charging connector got pushed in and made the battery totally useless on all three, and before the year was up, ......you guessed it, the third one was just over the year and I was screwed. I bought this same one again because I found it for half the price of my original, and it really does work well as an extra power module as well as a cell phone case. I hope it lasts at least another year.

The capacity of the external battery is half of the battery that is already in the phone. When my phone reaches 50% battery life left, I press and hold the button on the back of the external battery to charge my phone. It charges the phone to full capacity but then the external battery is out of juice. Therefore, the external battery is half of what is printed on the box. That is my experience. Hopefully, I'm the only one with the defected product. If it had the battery capacity as advertised, then the rating would definitely be higher.

The does what it is designed to do...give your phone an additional power source to extend the battery life of your phone. The issue is with the quality of the product. The power cable is loose when you plug it into the case therefore it may or may not charge. Also the plastic piece that snaps into place on top of the case to keep the phone in place breaks easily after a few careful removals because the plastic is not rigid enough. They give you two of these pieces and apparently for good reason.

This product does what it is intended to do. I might have given it five stars, however, the top piece that locks the phone in doesn't seat quite as well as it looks in the images. There is a bit of a gap. Other than that it works rather well. It does extend the battery life of the phone. Depending on your signal strength, it can double the life of the battery. Not bad for the price.

Fits the phone well. Does protect the phone. Does not give a full charge if the phone is less than 20%. For the price. a good case. Not a real slippery finish. If it gave a full charge, I would give it 5 stars. The buttons are a little bit recessed with the case on the phone. I actually like this because it keeps me from hitting the buttons by accident.

I would give this a 5 star but I was only able to use it a day or two due to my phone was broke and dropped in water and I had it out on the shop a day or two when my SaFPWR Cushion came in. When I get my phone back I'm sure I'll give it a 5 star!!!!
