I am so happy to finally get some Gentian Violet again. As a child I always had purple knees with my pigtails. I am allergic to most medicines. I can use no topical antibiotic lotions or creams. So I use things like Gentian Violet for surface problems and comfrey root poultices for infections. Now I am ready for what comes.

Word “gentian” is misspelled as “gential” on the label of the product I have received, which make me wonder if it is counterfeit and not safe.

Work great

Bought for a chicken with a foot injury. Chickens go crazy for blood and would peck and peck at her feet so her injury wouldn't heal and just kept getting worse. I put this in a small spray bottle with a little bit of water and sprayed her feet every day. Kept the other birds away long enough for her to heal up just fine.

I have used this product in the past in a mixture for healing wounds on horses and know its reputation well. Have already got at least one purple spot on my body and don't care what anybody says about it... Who knows maybe I can educate them a little about it also. :)
