Outstanding read
I’ve read several books in the series, and have yet to find one that hasn’t been worth the time and money. This one in particular has several thought-provoking questions, as well as excellent definitions and thoughts for all three letters. Well worth the read, and highly recommended.

Knowing the Bible series is great series which leads the student into deeper understanding
Knowing the Bible series is great series which leads the student into deeper understanding. I’ve so far used it for Ephesians, the book in question and my wife has worked through Hebrews. If you are looking for something that reads more like a devotional commentary, this is not the book for you. KTB series is designed to get you to answer questions. More often than not it will require some outside commentary help. If you want something with more teaching and questions, Keller’s book studies might be right. I have enjoyed this series best when I have studied a book with someone else.

Purchased New, Used Delivered
I purchased a new book, but a used one was delivered. It will be used for a Bible study.

Overly Literal and Superficial
We've used this (and other books from the series) for a Bible study group. It follows the same structured method, which can be useful, but falls short for a study of 1 & 2 Peter and Jude. The literal interpretation of these short scriptures and the rote application of the study method drawn out over 12 weeks left us using other materials from the web for more meaningful discussions.Far more balanced and insightful resources for a study of these three books are freely available on line.

Distracted study
We selected this study for a church one-on-one program, based on its solid scholarship and provocative questions. Over time, though, it seemed that the editor/author had us doing so much jumping around in the bible that we scarcely mined the pure gold in I and II Peter. For example lesson 5 is on 1 Peter 3:8-4:15. A ton of theologically packed scripture! After reading the 1 Peter passage, we are immediately instructed to read Ephesians 4:1-16. The next question the book has you flipping to Genesis 12:1-3. The rest of study 5 is long (4.5 pages), Maybe the author could label some of exploration questions as optional?
