Protect your lens investments
Always use a UV Filter on EVERY LENS (protective -- rather my UV Filter get damaged instead of expensive lenses!)

These seem to work almost as good as the very expensive filters
These seem to work almost as good as the very expensive filters. There is a little blur but its hard to detect on pictures.

Love my Vivitar filters.
I love the Vivitar series 1 filters. I have sets for each one of my lenses and have been very pleased with the quality and results. They are priced for us hobbyist and are durable. They come in a high quality case that provides exceptional protection and fast access. I shot a Vivitar SLR film camera back in the 70’s and it was one of the finest camera’s I ever owned so I guess I still have an attachment to the Vivitar name but they still appear to be concerned with affordable quality.

Vivitar name but not Vivitar quality
UV is OK but smudged out of package. The CPL and FLO had blemishes in glass out of package. Case is very cool. bummer! I sent it back.

Well made.
They look almost professional, and they are made by Vivitar, a name I know for decades when I first started my photography journey.I am glad I bought them.

misleading and useless
Bought this for the multicoated UV + CPL + case for use with the tamron 150-600mm. I'm not sure anyone has needed an F-DL filter in ages.Listing clearly says multicoated. The box clearly says multicoated on it.The filters say "Vivitar Series 1 UV 95mm". All the other Vivitar multi-coated filters i have say multi-coated on the filter. I tried them anyway, thinking perhaps vivitar changed their labeling.Shots with the UV filter looked ok, until i compared side-by-side without. Even compensating for the fact the uv filter cut a third of a stop, i could not get a pixel-sharp shot with the UV filter on. Tested outdoors, nikon d800, tamron 150-600 at 600mm, f8, handheld. No, it was not camera shake, VR, or diffraction.I tried the CPL. While it did a reasonable job of cutting polarized light (cuts essentially 100% of light from an LCD screen when properly aligned), I was unable to get even a passably sharp photo. I tried indoors, outdoors, handheld, tripod, VR on and off. Take off the filter and it looks great. And no, it was not due to a slower shutter speed with the CPL on.I looked at the filters at an angle in bright light (sunshine works best), and there's absolutely no indication of any coating whatsoever. On a real coated filter, you should see a slight colored tint to light reflected off the filter. These didn't have the slightest indication of a single coat, never mind multi coat. Side-by-side, my other vivitar filters that are actually labeled multi-coated had a purplish tint. Also, in terms of physical usability, these were difficult to thread properly, the CPL didn't rotate easily, and they are very shallow so the tamron lens cap doesn't sit flush on them like it does on the lens itself. (yes, thin filters are usually good, but vignetting like that doesn't really happen tele lenses...)So, these multi-coated filters are not actually coated, and prevented me from shooting any sharp photos. I should have known better since the set was priced similarly to a single multi-coated 95mm CPL. Don't waste your money.

Good quality filters in a hard to find size....
I have a Nikon 70-200 2.8 and the UV that came with it was not enough. so i got this set of filters for 95mm.
