Best boots I've owned, and I'm hard on boots!
I've owned various boots from various manufacturers over the years, including White's boots that a former employer provided. (I did not get to wear the White's for long as I had an injury that cut my time there short)These are functionally the same and just as comfortable, though they did take a fair amount of break in time. And yes, they did take longer to break in than my other two pairs of Georgia boots including low heel logger and low heel non safety toe versions like these. But what makes these stand apart from every other pair of boots (again, didn't wear the White's for very long) is the durability of the soles. The picture is 3 months in, and they're not even halfway worn through and they're not breaking down on the inside either. My other Georgia boots were pretty much bald by the same 3 months of wear. Keep in mind that I walk a MINIMUM of 5 miles a day, sometimes 10 plus, while carrying freight. These also have very, very good traction on ice, wet metal (equipment steps, etc), wood, snow, mud. The pair of Ariat boots I had were the worst traction I've ever had in any pair of shoes ever including dress shoes. The stitches and leather are also holding up very well despite winter weather and a fair amount of de-icer.I used to just buy cheap boots for a while and they'd MAYBE last a month to 45 days before they'd just get unbearably uncomfortable. These are less than halfway through their life after 3 months and still very comfortable. So, in the long run, they're cheaper. I do recommend odor control flat cushion insoles. Especially if you have feet like mine that sweat even in the winter. On that note, these are not heavily insulated, but still are not ridiculously cold in the winter with some good thick socks. And that was doing snow/ice removal in single digit weather. They also breathe fairly well for being quite waterproof.Bottom line, unless you need something specific like a fire rating, you won't get a better pair of boots no matter how much you spend. One last thing I've had issues with my broken pinky toes getting rubbed raw by other boots, but not with any of my Georgia boots.

G7313 is Steel Toe and Wide is not so wide
G7313 is definitely a steel toe boot in May, 2023. This boot is supposed to be a wide size but it is quite snug. A wide may barely have sufficient room in the steel toe area but time will tell. There is a snuggness on the small toe but hopefully not enough to create a problem. A regular would definitely have been too tight. I usually can wear a regular but for extra comfort I go for a wide in boots. These "wide" are on the very snug size in the mid section, barely fair room in the toe area, a smaller arch lift than my Chippewas I am used to. Also, the heel area has a straight up the back wall design that doesn't "cup" the heel as well as I would like which allows for some heel slip. The soles will likely wear faster than I am used to because it appears they have different composite of material. Time will tell if they will work out. They are a nice looking pair of boots even though the color is darker than Amazon pics.

Tough boots
Durable boots. This is my second pair. Pretty excruciating to break in but after a couple days they are comfortable and last a while.

Durable and comfortable
After several years of daily use I retired my previous pair of these boots. As expected the new ones took me a few days to break in but past that now and have no complaints on comfortability. I am outside all the time and appreciate the fact they are as advertised “waterproof”

Update: Good boots but...
12/01/19 Update: I knocked one star off my rating because after starting to wear my boots just around the house for normal chores they both started to have a high pitch squeak. I'm going to give them maybe another month to see if it stops, but will absolutely have to take Georgia up on their one year warranty if it doesn't because I won't be able to live with this annoying squeak. Will update when it stops or with info about the returns process.Original review: This boot will be my everyday boot for work around my property. I've never owned a pair of Georgia Boots or any type of logger boot so was not sure if I would like them or not, but with free shipping and returns covered I thought I'd give them a try. I've only had them for three days, but so far I really like them. I have always worn a size 10.5 Wide boot and have had numerous pairs of Danner's while I was in the military and always liked them, but this 10.5 W fit better than any I've ever had before. Construction seems to be good and solid and the tread actually has stitching that goes all the way through the tread around the front curve which I assume is to help keep it from any possibility of separating which I saw had happened in a few different reviews. They don't seem to be as heavy as other steel toe, insulated boots I've had in the past which is a plus and they are actually pretty comfortable even with the normal stiffness encountered during break-in. I was a little concerned with whether or not I would like the higher heel on these boots, but found they felt very stable with no tendency for my ankle to roll to the side and now I think I prefer them to the lower heels on my Danner's.I only have two minor negative comments and they are the reason for the four star rating. First, where the tongue is attached on the inside of the boot, a little above ankle height on me on the inside of my leg, there is a little binding which occurs due to the thickness of the leather and the waterproof lining and this creates a slight "hot spot". The only way to cure this is I have to really take some time when putting the boots on to hold the tongue down tight with one hand while quickly tightening the shoelace around the first hook so the tongue can't bind up on itself. I'm thinking that with increased wear time this will work itself out and not be an issue as this is really the only discomfort I am experiencing with this new boot. Second, the color I ordered was "tumbled chocolate" which is a lighter colored brown according to the online pictures, but the color I received was much darker and looks like the "chocolate" color online. I didn't hate the color they sent and didn't want to go through the hassle of returning them, especially since they fit so good, so I decided just to keep them. The only other comment I have is that I wasn't really crazy about the fringe piece of leather that goes under the lower laces and had intended to just remove it, however what I didn't realize is that the tongue underneath this thing is a suede type of leather instead of the tanned leather that the rest of the boot/tongue is made of and I was concerned that without that added piece of leather the tongue wouldn't be waterproof. My solution was that I just moved it up, one set of laces so not so much of the fringe is exposed and more of the suede was covered. Unfortunately, even with it moved up it still doesn't cover all the suede leather on the tongue, but I definitely think it looks better than with the fringe hanging way out there though. For me, I would be much happier if they made the whole tongue out of tanned leather and skipped the fringe thing all together, but as much as I like the other great qualities of this boot I can live with this one minor thing.Overall, these are probably the best fitting pair of boots I've ever owned and I think they should have a good long service life. I will give an update if I encounter any problems as I put more hours on these boots, but at this point from my initial impression I don't expect to see any problems at all.

Better than expected
These boots are great quality and feel great. I'm a climbing arborist and I love these boots. Fir the spurs well, keep my feed dry and look and feel rad. Highly recommend.

well constructed, tongue quite bulky
Great looking pair of boots. Returning them however because they appear quite a bit wider than I imagined from the pictures and the tongue has a significant amount of padding on it I found to be excessive and bulky. I found it frustrating to fold in all that material before lacing up and getting it pleated symmetrically to be annoying. It also made my feet look really chunky and I prefer a less cumbersome silhouette for boots.

Quality Boot
I’m over the top impressed with these boots. The leather is top quality, they fit perfect, very little break in time. I’m talking like a day on the job. That’s it! I greased mine up with some mink oil right out of the box. Use them for tree work, climbing with spurs. Long days on the feet. I’ll be purchasing again when needing another pair.
