good color, good price
Prosculpt Light is a very beautiful clay when baked. It's a little soft, but adding Premo to the clay mix firms it up. I hear it's great for big dolls, but I'm making fairies, so the mixing is a must for me. It bakes slightly brittle, which is not a problem with larger figures, but tiny fairy fingers can't take much stress. Prosculpt Light has a lovely, skin-like color when baked. I highly recommend it.

My favorite clay, so far.
I have just started sculpting with polymer clay, and I prefer this clay over Fimo or Sculpey. For more detailed work I add a little Premo and its perfect. Neat stuff. Firmer than Living Doll, which is a good thing for fairy sculpt's.

A very very soft clay that MUST be mixed with something else
If you like to sculpt and have the item you are making turn into mush right in front of your eyes then Prosculpt clay is for you. I am glad I did not learn or should I say TRY TO LEARN how to sculpt dolls using this clay. However if you mix it with a firmer clay like premo or kato it is useable. I only did that to use it up. I will not be buying anymore prosculpt. I am making armature cores with it right now. It bakes to metal really good so it sticks to the wires I am using for my cores. The only other thing good about it is when its baked it has a great color. Nice satiny matte finish. Not greasy. You would think it would be very easy to smooth since it is so soft. NOPE! You can hardly find anything that works to smooth it. all tools leave marks no matter what you use. GOOD LUCK if you buy prosculpt clay.

A clay for professionals
I am a professional art doll sculptor, so I need reliable clays. I use prosculpt for almost all my faeries and mermaid art dolls. I like to blend it with sculpey premo and fimo on occasion to get the proper tone. Like the angry reviewer commented, this clay is soft from the package. Some packages are much softer than others. However, I don't find that a problem since my hands are usually cold and the clay doesn't get that soft for me. I find it easy to overwork if you have hot hands and the rare occasion my hands have been hot, I've simply leached the clay between two pieces of computer paper for an hour and no problems. What I love about this clay is that it is VERY strong once baked. It's wonderful for full bodies, but especially fingers, ears and any other small detail that you might find easily snapped off with the use of Fimo, Kato, Cernit and Super Sculpey. Since I've started using this clay (over a year ago) I've been able to make faeries with spread fingers without fear of accidental breakage should someone bump them at a show. I have faeries standing on tippy toe (with an armature rod of course, but the clay can take any minor torquing of the figure moving when I travel to shows) and mermaids supported by thin fins of painted prosculpt clay. I'm very happy with it.
