Nordic Pure18x25x1 (17 1/2 x 24 1/2 x 3/4) Pleated MERV 12 Air Filters 6 Pack

These AC filters are slightly more than a half inch smaller than labeled. I have a 18 x 24 inch opening, but these labeled 18 x 24 inch filters were only 23 3/8 inch wide and would get sucked into the vent even using duct tape to try an hold in place. So, I thought I must need a 18 x 25 inch filter and ordered the exact same brand in a 18 x 25. They are too big width wise by 3/8th of an inch and was able to cram it in by somewhat crimping it.i need a filter exactly 24 inches wide, not 23 3/8th or 24 3/8th. I have never had a problem when buying a 18 x 24 inch filters at HD. They are labeled true to size. Now I have ten filters that will not fit my 18 x 24 inch AC intake vent. They are either too small or too big and I have to go to the pain of returning them and buying some from HD that are 24 inches wide as stated.

I bought these as 18x25x1. I know they wont be exact and there is usually some difference but these are a good half inch smaller in length and width (i.e. 17.5x24.5). This means it doesnt fit properly in the slot in our HVAC unit and falls out often. We've had to stick extra cardboard strips on the side to make them work.

According to Nordic Pure's customer support line, they do not stamp the MERV rating on the filters because it's the most cost effective way to produce their filters. I have ordered similar filters from companies such as AirX and Filtrete, and the the MERV/Filtration rating is clearly marked on each filter. The product photo shows a blue label with the brand name and MERV rating printed on what appears to be a wrapper. I find this to be deceptive. How can I be sure that the filters I received and paid extra for are the correct ones?I will also add that the "size" and "airflow" printed on the filter housing is identical to the AirX filters I have. So Nordic Pure is at the very least using a third party to make the housings if not the entire filter.Other than that the filters appear to be well made and are fairly sturdy. I will not be ordering from Nordic Pure again when other companies have the same filters for the same price with the rating clearly marked.

These are a great price and a great filter, My furnace uses this odd size, and odd size filters are usually expensive, you get 6 filters for one low price they equal out to $7.99 a filter unheard of price in stores they run $14.99 and up for 1 if you can find a 18x25x1 I would recommend, Be sure to measure the inside of your furnace or check the manufacturers book for the correct filter size before buying!

These seem to perform better than most brands in the same price range. The MERV 12 rating is pretty high & takes care of most of our needs.I have air flow monitors here & these do well even when they appear to be dirty, but once you install anything over a MERV rating of 12 that air flow changes rapidly with lite dust accumulation because the pore size of the filter material gets deeply saturated quicker & the filters must be changed more often.

I am back to using these filters from now. I had purchased non-carbon filters to save money and the scent in my house really changed....as in I could smell cat and dog! With the carbon filters, my house just smells CLEAN and FRESH. We all have asthma and can tell the difference health wise too.

Did not seem to make an appreciable difference after using filter to help with odors moving into a new home.Now I find that CR has given it one of the lowest ratings for all filters (12 out of 100). "Ineffective" removing dust and smoke. Which is what I experienced. Wasted money.

I received this product last week and there is nothing on the filter itself that indicate that it's a "MERV 13" .Is this a real MERV13 or it's just a regular filter with high price of MERV13?????

Very good product, arrived on time and fit well in my furnace. I have not noticed any air quality difference yet, but that may take some more time. Well done. We would buy these again, great price for six filters at about 60.00 dollars!
