Great customer service from seller
Had issues with the install. The seller, Kastencorp, was very helpful and replied promptly to my emails. They even asked me to upload a video of the gear indicator on my bike and what the issues were. I didn't have to do that because I rechecked my connections and found the problem (bad wire tap). On my bike, 2003 Honda CB919, the ECU is all the way to the rear of the bike. The yellow wire with the thin green stripe is not easy to get to but I managed to get my thin fingers to it. Also, the green wire that comes with this gear indicator is too short, so I had to go to the hardware store to get some wire and splice into the gear indicator's green wire. If you're ECU is closer to the Speed sensor, anyone can easily install this gear indicator in 5 mins. Took a little work to get to my ECU cause it's so far back and I didn't remove my rear fender. I programmed the gear indicator on the road, it learns the gears quite fast. Just keep the bike between 2-4k RPMS and ride through all the gears when prompted by the gear indicator. Took less than 1/2 mile of road to program all six gears. I have no problem seeing the display in the sun. All in all I'm very happy with it so far, especially for the price.

Initial quality issues, but working well now.
I just finished installing and calibrating this. It is working as it should and time will tell on its durability. At $50, this is the most affordable option I could find. The reason I’m writing this review at all (my first actual Amazon review in years of shopping) is because I was disappointed in the quality of wiring/assembly of the plugs. When it arrived, 2 wires had come out of one of the plugs on their own. These should be crimped strongly in place, so I was disappointed to see that. I was able to fix this by using the tip of a small screwdriver to release the extremely small metal tabs that hold each metal connector inside the plastic housing. I then soldered the loose wires to the metal connector for a permanent connection and slid the connector back into its slot in the housing. I watched a YouTube video of someone installing an identical product and knew that there would be one more issue—though this issue is specific to my bike (2002 Honda VFR800) and that is that the wire on the indicator assembly that needs to splice into the bike’s ECU is too short. I had to solder an extension to it. I knew this going in and it may not be an issue for other Honda models. These fixes would be daunting to the average consumer and I feel the product would definitely have been returned by anyone without wiring experience and problem solving ability. Very frustrating, especially with the multi-week waiting time for shipping. That being said, the indicator display looks quality and fits nicely next to my tachometer. No issues during the calibrating process. I look forward to not trying to shift up out of 6th gear on the highway.

Great Customer support
I have a 2006 Honda 599 Hornet. I had difficultly in locating the speed sensor connector and ICM unit. The Kastonecorp customer support over email was great, they helped me identify the connector and ICM. Once that was done install wasa breeze and gear indicator worked as expected. Thanks for great customer support.

SHOULD BE FACTORY EQUIPMENT.
FAST SHIP, EASY INSTALL. I SOMETIMES LOOSE TRACK OF THE GEAR I'M IN. NOW I CAN CHECK BEFORE GOING INTO A TIGHT TURN. IT MAKES THINGS SMOOTHER AS I GET USED TO MY LATEST BIKES 6 GEARS.
