Once I googled how to use it, it worked just fine.

Bought this to put rolled hems on long (80") pieces of thick and stiff outdoor fabric for privacy screens on the deck.Once you learn the trick (roll an inch or two of hem by hand and clamp it under the flat back edge of the presser foot, then work the roll into the curled part of the presser foot before starting to sew) this works like a charm. Feeding the edge into the curled part as I sewed was intuitive, and the hems came out great. No complaints.If you search "how to use wide rolled hem presser foot" on YouTube you'll see videos explaining better than I can how to start the hem.

The item is easy to snap in at the base of the sewing foot. Once I lowered the foot, the needle hit the metal. I have a Viking. I drilled the hole wider and now my needle has clearance. However, I am not sure if the foot is really time saving. I have issues with the beginning and end of the material. I did a few napkins and it looks all right. But it takes time lacing in the material into the foot. The foot itself is well made. I have to practice some more. The sturdy foot can be used without the attachment. The order came with three sizes. Fast delivery.

I watched some videos on how to use these rolled hem presser feet and some said there was a learning curve or it may be tricky. I wasn't sure if I could pick it up easily. My first try was a fail, but I realized my needle wasn't centered, once I fixed that problem these worked fantastic! It made a beautiful and tiny rolled hem on my daughters prom ball gown style dress! So impressed. Quality seems fine. Easy to use.

The presser feet fit well on my Singer 4432 and some test prices using the 1/2” foot seemed to work well except for one crucial element......the gap (about 1/2”) between the presser foot and the guide means that at the end of a hem when the fabric exits the guid it can become ‘unrolled’ before it gets to the foot or the seam can run ‘off course’

This sewing foot saves me a lot of time and frustration. I was able to more accurately use the foot after a couple tries and sewing machine adjustments. I like the fact that the foot just snaps on to my machine's foot shank. This is much easier to use than the one my grandmother used. No more pinning and sewing small hems!!! Looking forward to additional sewing projects!!! I recommend purchasing this product for your sewing needs.
