Dremel 3000 Corded 130W Rotary Tool Kit with Soft Case and 15 Accessories

I considered something less expensive, but they all come with so many tools that I couldn't trust the quality, and I already had the burrs that I needed for drilling and shaping holes in wood and resin flute tubes, so for a long time I just went on using a full size drill even though it was unweildy, noisy and horribly powerful. I finally saw this at a deal price which took it just into range of my budget, and I'm really pleased with it: I can work late at night now without disturbing anyone, and I've been using it for a host of tasks for which would previously have used much less suitable tools. Being able to change the rotation speed while actively drilling is useful as it often needs more power as you go deeper into the wood, and I find myself changing the speed setting a lot without any worry of this wearing out the tool which is clearly robust enough to take that. You can feel how well made it is. The tools that come with it are also quality, and while I wasn't expecting to need any of them, half of them have already proved to be very useful: the cutting discs in particular are great on resin and make for a very quiet alternative to sawing.

Bought to aid in model making and conversion originally, over time this has become a handy tool for other jobs like pc case modification and even precision sanding jobs. I do like that it's wired but the cable isn't too long so I have to use an extension, but it's full compatible with a range of Dremel branded and generic heads.

Great product. I bought because it was small and i wanted to use it on my car at a small area where a large grinder cant reach. Worked like a charm

Sturdy, powerful and versatile. For those who are deeply into DIY, the Dremel 3000 is a must. But I strongly suggest that you buy the package that comes in box along with the flexi shaft. I did not get that when I was looking for the 3000 and had to pay extra for the shaft a month later.
