Very cute pieces and well made, but the extensive rule set overwhelmed my wife and we gave up after a couple play throughs. Instead of having fun solving a spacial layout puzzle like we hoped, you spend all your time trying to figure out how to make sense of all the arcane scoring rules that kick in at the end of the game. All the special cards with paragraphs of additional per-game rules don't help matters. It would be one thing if the rules and scoring made sense in the context of the theme, but they just seem add complexity for its own sake. Good games don't need this many rules to keep things interesting.Our favorite is Patchwork for casual couple gaming. Sagrada and Carcassonne Big Box are great too.
