but is good for practice
I am using this product primarily for golf in determining tilt % from horizontal on the greens. It's very small size is ideal for carrying the device around with golf clubs. The level appears to give accurate readings for determining slope and tilt. (Unfortunately, it can't be used in competition, but is good for practice.) I also envision the level as an excellent addition to my tools for maintenance around the house. Excellent product.

neat gadget
the digital level is a pretty neat tool. i would give it 5 stars but the reason only 4 is because the bubbles aren't centered when the digital part says its level. and that's after i calibrated it twice. but if you use this in conjunction with a 2' level or a 4' level, it works perfect. using the 2 together really gives you an assurance that whatever your trying to level, is actually dead on level. I'm very picky when it comes to things being level so this tool just makes me that much more picky. overall it works well. I'm just disappointed that i can't use it as a mini bullet level. but I'm happy with it.

Great Pocket Digital Level
This is my first digital level and I'm really impressed with this little thing. It fits in my pocket easily and feels pretty rugged. It's easy to re-calibrate and use. The magnet works great and is strong enough to hold the level in place. I don't know how long the batteries last on this thing but they are the CR2032 coin batteries you can find anywhere. I am really impressed with the accuracy too for being such a small level. This one is a keeper for sure.

Perfect tool at a great privce
I wanted a tool for my motorhome which could tell me exactly how far off level I was when I pull into an RV Park. With some experimentation I will learn exactly how many degrees or tenths of a degree I can be out of level when parked to determine if my jacks can achieve level by themselves - or whether I have "Excess Slope" and need to use blocks under the jacks to start with. This will save time, aggravation and wear and tear on the jacks and on my knees. I ordered the Digi-Pas instrument and after a quick and easy calibration it works perfectly. Thanks Digi-Pas for the perfect tool at a perfect price!

I've been looking for a smaller digital level and when I saw the pocket size Digi-Pas and the great reviews I ordered one right
As a construction consultant I often inspect projects for ADA compliance. Slopes and ramps are an important area with very strict requirements that must be verified. Traveling with my 24" SmartTool electronic level can be difficult, especially when carrying a briefcase and an overnighter. I've been looking for a smaller digital level and when I saw the pocket size Digi-Pas and the great reviews I ordered one right a way.PackagingThe packaging is nice and easy to open.Instruction SheetThe instructions appear to be adequate but does not have information regarding the function of the Alt.Zero button. The description from the manufacturer states "by holding both MODE and HOLD button, The SWL80E is set to alternate zero. See Calibration below for more information.QualityOn the packaging it states "High Quality" and precision, however; I'm not overly impressed with the quality. The body is a good quality molded plastic, however; the battery compartment cover does not appear to be of the same quality. There is a very small screw on the back at the battery compartment with a small sticker and arrow pointing toward the screw that states "Unscrew to open". The screw requires a small precision screwdriver to open and close and you must first remove a plastic strip to connect the battery for the first time. On my Digi-Pas the screw does not lock down the battery compartment cover and I can already tell that a piece of tape would eventually be required to hold the cover in place. The instructions have a picture of the battery compartment cover, but the cover is different then what is actually on the level.CalibrationCalibration is straight forward and not too difficult. Part of the calibration instructions is to “Place DWL80E on a flat & clean surface (e.g. Table)”. Once you calibrate the device on a flat surface you place the device on a vertical surface. In order to calibrate the level correctly you must place the device on a level surface both horizontally and vertically as the calibration is only as accurate as the surface you use for calibration. I had a difficult time calibrating the device and finally found the Alt.Zero button that will zero the device once on a level surface. There is no reference to this button in the instruction and I can only assume that I am using this correctly.AccuracyI use a 24” M-D Building Products SmartTool #92288 but the level is difficult to travel with through airports. The SmartTool is accurate to 1/10 of a degree and is a well respected industry level that is made for ADA contractors and inspections. The manufacturer of the Digi-Pas states it is accurate within .02 degrees at all angles. After calibrating both devices on the same surface they are set to zero. I place the SmartTool on a 1% incline and place the Digi-Pas level on top. Both read at exactly 1%. However at 2% the Digi-Pas reads at 1.3% and 4% the Digi-Pas reads at 3.0%. At 6%, 8% and 10% the Digi-Pas is accurate within .04%. The accuracy at both 2% and 4% are off by up to 1% which is an issue if you need to use the tool within these ranges.DisplayThe display is large and easy to read when looking at the device straight on. If the device is to be used on a walkway it will be difficult to read unless you get on your hands and knees. It would be nice if the display was on top of the device.ConclusionI understand that some may feel my test of the Digi-Pas was not accurate or a fair way to test, but I trust and have used the SmartTool for many years. If the Digi-Pas was consistent, say it was always .05 % off at each degree I'd be able to calculate the difference and use the device for my application. Perhaps I expect too much from such a small device, but I will return the Digi-Tool and and keep looking for the perfect pocket level for my application.

Accurate and Compact
I purchased the level because I needed something accurate and compact. It was intended to be added to my travel kit but so far has worked its way into my every day. I use the level to align tools and platens on robotic cylinders. The numerical readout makes it much easier to get the equipment true versus the "eye-ball" method. The calibration process was simple and straightforward, with the cal button accessible but well protected. In short, a great value for the dollar.

Functional. About as accurate as big-box hardware store level. Lack of display hold could be a deal breaker.
I compared it with a high-end bubble level, and a big-box bubble level. After I calibrated it, It performed about as well as the big-box level. It's not quite as good at leveling as the high-end level because it wanders around 0 and makes it difficult to determine exactly what's dead level.I also noticed that the LCD screen is almost always in the wrong place when I'm leveling (it'd be more convenient if there were one on the side and one on the spine). The lack of a hold is the deal breaker: If you can't position yourself to read the LCD on the side, you can't use it. Turns out that happens more often in daily use than I'd imagined. Bottom line, this is an OK homeowner tool for occasional informal leveling, but it's not going to make it into a professional toolbox.

Perfect size, good price.
We needed a good digital inclinometer and my old level was too big for small projects, this one is just right.I ordered it from Amazon on a Friday afternoon it arrived in good condition the following Thursday.I wish that it had a dedicated display hold button, you can hold down the mode button to lock the display but it’s hard to depress the indented mode button in my application without moving the level.Happy with this purchase.

Perfecto.
