Semiconductors decoded!
If you want a sound base in semiconductors,this book is highly recommended by me.It provides lucid and comprehensive explanations of every aspect of semiconductor physics and has remarkable pedagogy features like examples and knowledge testing questions along with review questions and problems which further promote interest towards the subject.

Good book to build your concepts.
This book is good. This new edition book is of less page than the older edition 3rd. Which means that some portion of pas edition has been cut out.

Small typing errors. But good book.
The book is very good. But it as few small typical typing errors. Overall the book is good you can buy it. I attached a image you can see that too.

Book where Modern Physics meet Electronics. From Electronic movement to quantum physics to pn diode to bjt to fet one gets to know inner sciences of their working. If you are looking for lots of solved problems you may be dishearted. However for knowing how Electronics work this is the best book.

Go for 3rd edition of the same text
Has many printing errors, also detailed explanations for many topics are missing. Third edition by Donald Neamen was far better with no adaptation by any Indian author.

Best Book to prepare EDC For GATE
GATE EC aspirants...If u r afraid of EDC...here is the only book u need to go through..Read it and EDC will no more be a stranger

Good quality and good contents
The quality of the book is very good. No difference with the American version and much cheaper. The book is a very good introduction to semiconductor physics.

I like the way it is written
I read from fermi level to the beginning of BJT so far. The flow of the book is very clear, the language was easy to understand. One thing I like in particular was the comments after examples. It interprets the meaning and engineering significance of the calculation and design concerns. I like the book a lot!
