Yes. You may require an update for SDXC cards to be recognised. Insert the card and it'll tell you, then do the update if needed. If transferring from a smaller card to this one, format the new card first in the console before moving data across. The process can be found with a Google search

Does it get corrupted cause I've had bad experiences with sd cards before and I've ended up loosing my files ?

I thought mine did but it turned out to be the Sandisk "mobile mate" usb3 reader - I've since found out the mates can be problematic. It trashed one card before I figured out the mate was to blame. Amazon refunded for both.
