Rattleback - Multicolor Pack of 10

Rattlebacks rattled back. My little grandson loves these!

Love them, I give them to the children that I teach. Great colors too.

I purchased these to give as holiday stocking stuffers. They look great and perform well. In other words they spin freely and rattle back in the opposite direction perfectly. The key is to spin them slowly and smoothly. One thing to be aware of is mine all came in one color. By the description I assumed it would be an assortment of colors. Nope.I also purchased one of the “metal” rattlebacks also sold on Amazon. I thought it would be better quality but it wasn’t. A real disappointment the metal one was.

Gave some to my 5 year old nephew and taught him how to perform a “magic trick” by making it stop and spin backwards with his mind. He couldn’t stop showing off for others for days ;-). Very highly recommended.

Items are as shown. My package contained 2 of each color. They work as intended.Small plastic bag that came in ripped in the shipping process, but they were not damaged by being loose in the amazon padded envelope.

Was let down except more out of the item

These things are way cooler than I expected! If you spin them one way they'll go forever, but spin the other way & they'll rattle to a stop or change direction. I figured it would be a cool stocking stuffer for work, & I was absolutely right. I only wish I'd bought more, I think everyone should have one for absent-minded fiddling. They're not exceptionally useful for anything else but they're great kinetic playthings. The package I received also came with a lesson plan for a physics/science class, which was a really neat addition; it has suggested activities about making observations. Cool toy, even cooler learning tool.

Used the rattleback as a teaching tool to explain dynamic stability.
