MICRONS MICROBIOLOGY SIMPLIFIED (PB 2018)

This is an amazing book. The images provided are too good for anyone preparing for neet pg or aiims . "Important points to be remembered" given at the end of each section is really helpful. Parasitology and mycology sections have short topics which can be covered easily. I recommend this book to anyone aspiring to crack pg entrance exams. It's worth buying !

My Views regarding MicronS - The PGMEE Guide to MicrobiologyPros1. The book has been beautifully compiled with all the necessary data.2. Photographs has been taken with the permission of CDC and other very reliable sources. So no need to doubt the accuracy as well as quality. Photographs are the key ingredient to the micro prep so I would say that this book is running first in that aspect.3. The formatting of the TWO COLUMN style is quite good considering the previous books from the publisher. I quite like it how the data and the photos have been placed in the page4. BACTEROIOLOGY: The portion covers almost all the bacteria right from the very common to our ears to even some of the new ones which are quite important regarding PG point of view.5. VIROLOGY MYCOLOGY: I personally didn’t find any lacking in the data.6. Parasitology: Personal favourite. Very well balanced. Loved the photographs and life cycle flow charts. Very concise and very easy to read and learn.7. Publisher has definitely improved the page quality. Even though they are glossy now of perfect gsm quality (not that It matters ;) )Cons1. The book has been compiled with the view of providing essential data to the students. Even though it covers nearly every point given in the textbook and some more, there I feel that some extra edge would be nice.For those who feel that the subject is really rough, consuming too much of your precious time and brain power, I feel that you’ll find this book worthy of your time.Beautiful presentation, adequate data and well to do MCQ given at the end of each chapter.For those who really love the subject and want to dig into the depths of its vastness, this book may prove as a healthy companion to your standard reference book.Not judging the book by its cover, I really feel this is one of the must buy book for the subject even if you don’t intent to read whole. It would certainly help you over the way, and I am sure you’ll develop a liking to the subject.
