Withstands the heat.
I've had trouble with glass baking dishes shattering in the oven. This one has not and I've used it at 425. It's also very easy to clean.

One tough piece of cookware
I recently had a massive clumsy moment and dropped a three piece cookware set, shattering into many large chunks as well as hundreds of slivers of glass. Concrete garage slabs are not very conducive to absorbing harsh impacts. I began searching for a replacement set and came across some articles that led me to further research. The bottom line - the Simax is manufactured in Europe using borosilicate glass (a much stronger glass than soda-lime glass). The Simax cookware is a bit more expensive than what is otherwise available but much more durable, stronger and safer. You can research borosilicate versus soda-lime glass and make your own decision. I'm certainly comfortable with the one I made. (I'll be using this same review for the Simax 1.5 quart glassware)

Excellent but no markings?
LIKES:1. Borosilicate glass is the safer glass to use during rapid temperature changes (ie. fridge to oven)2. Not made from the cheaper soda lime glass which is potentially dangerous (PYEX products)3. No sharp edges4. Very clear glassCONCERNS:1. There are no marking on the pan saying which brand it is?2. There are no markings that say it is made from borosilicate glass3. There are no safety or usage warnings on the glass (maybe not needed)4. The picture above is misleading because it shows 3 pans but only the larger one is sold under this listingOne reviewer said these products are stronger than soda lime glass but actually the opposite is true. Borosilicate glass is actually more susceptible to breakage if rough handled but actually safer during the cooking process. Borosilicate glass is the glass we used in Chemistry labs heating our beakers over bunsen burners. Remember those good old days!

Thank me later: skip on the pyrex soda-lime glass. Get this Simax (legit) borosilicate glass.
Works great so far! Unlike the modern American 'pyrex' brand soda-lime glass - which according to many, many sources, isn't resistant to thermal shock and explodes with rapid temperature change (i.e., if you take it from the hot oven and put it on a marble countertop or other surface cooler than an oven!) - the Simax stuff is all-European glass, where quality control has them use borosilicate glass, which is much, much more resistant to thermal shock, and thankfully doesn't allow it to explode. Read up the tons and tons of reviews on the pyrex dishware and other blogs on it! It's scary! The only negative was that there's no marking on the glass that this is Simax branded, or that it's borosilicate. Also, there was some tape on the newly arrived roaster that was IMPOSSIBLE to take off! But besides that, this thing is amazing and serves its purpose well. I've made around 10 batches of brownies so far and reheated pizza from time-to-time, and this thing worked to perfection (be careful handling this though, as I did burn my thumb a little although it was out of my ignorance more than anything else - stuff out of the oven comes out HOT).I've read that Simax makes their stuff in the Czech Republic, so keep in mind that this is European-sized, so a little larger than the standard American 13" x 9" roasters that we're used to, maybe by a half inch or so more on both sides. Regardless, it served my purpose well. My brownies ARE a little thinner than I'm used to, but I do get a little more surface area and ultimately healthier eating and what feels like more bang (brownies?) for the buck! Who am I kidding - brownies aren't healthy. But you know what I mean :)I'm definitely buying more Simax stuff, especially this gorgeous little teapot (http://smile.amazon.com/Simax-Glassware-3403-Teapot-Filter/dp/B000LQXC8K/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1445918055&sr=8-3&keywords=simax+teapot).

Good so far
So far, so good. I've used it a few times and it performed well (i.e. didn't explode in the oven like my Pyrex one did)
