Easy to put together kiddo seems to really like it

This is a very nice toy for kids to learn and play. This is an activity desk primarily for kids over 2 years of age. I have had multiple activity boards which were more geared towards toddlers, but this one is good for bigger kids. Which makes it a great gift for that age range. There are so many things to do and there are multiple layouts for different plays. This can keep kids busy for long time. Assembly is easy and it seems to be made of good quality plastic, pretty thick and strong.

One word: WOW. Where was this sort of toy when I was a kid? Holy....there are a million cool features in this thing. I honestly don't know were to start. A little heavy on the battery usage, but at least it uses standard batteries and nothing too expensive (four AAs). Your little one can play pretend office, DJ, artist - you name it. First, they can learn their ABCs, shapes, colours, numbers, animals. They can trace letters and numbers to start learning how to write. There's a small included stylus for doing this. In this configuration, the desk is made to resemble a workplace office - it has an analog clock to help with learning how to tell time (a forgotten art these days, it seems) and a fake tablet that has weather and calendar "apps". It includes a number of placemat-like sheets that swap in/out of the desk, on different topics. One of these mats is a flat "turntable" and speakers, which teach about music. Lastly, it can flip up for access to the chalkboard and easel functions. You can store the extra mats and any art supplies underneath this area, but be warned that it doesn't come with any chalk or easel papers. Overall it's really well-made, easy and takes virtually no time to assemble, and is lightweight enough to move around if you need to make space. Also, the included stool can easily be tucked in underneath to save even more space. The only downside is that unlike the more expensive variations of this, you can't seem to buy add-on placemats for more activities. I hope that V-Tech starts to make these for this desk as well, as it would be nice to be able to switch up activities for some variation once in a while. Like others have mentioned, this is NOT for 2+. A two year old has no idea what to do with any of this. A better fit would be at minimum 3 or 3.5 years plus. I think that age range would really get the most out of this and be more likely to sit still and focus on the activities.
