Very detailed book, almost every aspect is covered
First of all let me tell the difference between this book and other the most popular two books ie Bhavikatti and Duggal. This book is purely oriented on subject learning and every possible topic in each chapter is covered, where as other books are syllabus based and only those topics which are included in exams and university syllabus are covered.This book is so detailed that you have to chose what to read and which topic to left. For first time reader this may a be bit confusing because very little portion of each chapter is actually included in syllabus of competitive exams. Book language is well standardized and a bit hard to understand but if you have little idea of subject you can grab it quickly. Plenty of solved examples are given in each chapter and for my surprise some examples are same as given in Bhavikatti book. Formulas and even many figures are directly taken from IS code and some actual photographs of connection and members are also given for easy understanding.Lots of topic are there and if you really want to learn new things in steel and utilize the full potential of this huge book you need time and patience, otherwise Duggal or Bhavikatti books are more than sufficient for exam purpose.

Awesome purchase
Perfect book with good explanations and case studies.. But this is a black and white book. If it was color.. It would seem very interesting to read

Best book on Ductile design of steel structure
No doubt perfect piece for concept building. It's highly helpful for professional practices as well as competitive exam preparation like ESE preparation. I'll recommend every civil engineering student to go through the book once and I can assure you that you will get more practical knowledges.

Contains a well written text
Book is very good in terms of concepts and numerical problems. But it does not contain the topics like Railway Bridges, Foot Bridges etc. for which I had to refer other books. Otherwise all the major topics of various universities of India are available and well discussed.
