Not spicy at all which makes it work for everybody and us spice lovers can just add cayenne to our serving, or finely dice a serrano chili and add to the paste when you bloom it to get to a moderate spice level for the entire pot.

So fragrant and delicious. We will be buying more, but our one complaint is that it does not have any spice. Not a real problem though, as we can add peppers to our veggie base to get it where we want it.
