Decorative Shelf Kit, Set of Two Wall Mounted Bamboo Shelves with Diagonal Mounting Brackets

I do like the style of these shelves but the picture is deceiving. I ordered these shelves because of the unique color and markings of the bamboo in the picture. When I received them, the shelves looked nothing like the picture and one of the shelves had a red smeared stain on it.

Im not sure why this product doesn't have more favorable reviews. I've had this in my recently renovated kitchen for over a year and I still really like it for its use. I have it to the side of my island and it holds all of my tea/coffee/sugar/beans on one shelf, and most of my alcoholic drinks on the other. Mixed with some plants and it holds a good amount and hasn't wavered since being installed. Ill still get compliments when people get close enough to see its not the average wall shelf. Pretty sweet design and not too difficult to install. I am very pleased that I went with this one and not some others I was looking at online and at local stores.

These shelves suck. I got these for our bathroom which is 31 inches wide (for the water closet). My wife and I couldn't find any floating shelves that were that length until we happened upon these in a local store. When we tried to fit the shelf in the room to test it, they were a half inch longer that what was written on the box. So we cut them down to size. Then when following the directions to hang the shelves we ended up putting 6 giant unusable holes in the wall. I went to the local hardware store to get larger anchors to correct the issue which still didn't fix the problem. I then attempted to take matters into my own hands (I consider myself to be relatively handy). After measuring the brackets, drilling 6 more holes, making the new anchors work, the bracket length varied and the shelves were lopsided. I just finished taking them off the wall. All in all I was working on these shelves for 4 hours only to make myself more work to do in puttying and repainting.
