Garage Door Screen 7'H with 18x14 Charcoal Fiberglass Screen Mesh (16'Wx7'H, Brownstone)

The wife and I love this screen door. Engineering at its finest, but I can't believe how bad these instructions are. You would think with such a great product, the instructions would be great too.I took a bunch of pictures and have typed notes with some do's and don't to help people because these instructions are horrible, but I realize I can't upload pictures like that in these reviews.Just some quick notes, if you have a truck that is a bit high and you want to continue to park it in the garage, this is not the product for you. You got to pick and choose your battle. I've read one person said they had a gap around the screen door. You must have the weather stripping around your garage door. Mines had one already. I can't remember what else I read to help out, but if you want me to email some pictures, I will gladly send them.

Assembly is easy, DO NOT USE THE PAPER DIRECTIONS, mostly unless, use the video guides, the only tip I have is in some areas of the directions the right side as referred in the directions is inside looking out and on others, such as the door the right side is referred from the outside of the garage looking in, look at the video carefully. It closes uneven at the bottom, not sure why.

First off we had no problems assembling our unit,between u tube videos and the supplied instructions it went very smooth .now for the bad news .the supplied screen spline is junk DONT USE IT!! Pick some round spline at your local hardware store.we love our screen door.lots of positive vibes from our neighbors.this is a well made product and should last for a very long time.

We improved our garage to make it more “user friendly” easy enough to install with the videos on YouTube. The design is well thought out.

I bought this item and when it came it turns out it's very complicated to install. It's a 6 hour installation time and very complicated. I tried finding a local company to do it and everyone refuses. And plus it will be very expensive to do seeing its a 6 hour job and requires 2 people. Now I'm at a lost. Very disappointed. It would've been nice if the seller mentioned that it's a complicated installation. Don't buy from 3rd parties. It's so not worth the time lost and money lost.

This comes as a 'kit' you assemble for the main door. First you assemble the frame and then add the screen to it. The screen installs fairly easily but it is time consuming to stretch the screen material on the frame. (Only the sliding screen door is preinstalled with the screen.)I purchased the white screen which, during the day, almost looks like the garage door is closed. You CANNOT see through it from the outside during the day, but at night you can see in if there is a light on in the garage, the same as with reflective windows. Overall I am very pleased with the results and how well the videos explain each step. I had my notebook PC in the garage as I assembled everything and it made the written instructions much easier to understand. BUT be sure to read the written instructions as the videos do miss a few fine points in the installation.The photos show the finished install. Note during the daytime with the white privacy screen the only thing you can see inside is the light I had on. The view from the inside shows how it works like a one way mirror. I included detail of the track to show how it relates to the garage door track. Not hard to install and they even have a place to mount the safety photo eye for your garage door opener including a 'mask' so the garage door won't come down when the screen is in place!
