... does what it is supposed to for a very good price. Is it the best quality
This digital caliper does what it is supposed to for a very good price. Is it the best quality? No. Is it truly carbon fiber? No. However, it is accurate to within +\- 0.01mm and is very easy to use. If you read this and the other reviews and see the comments of "it isn't on zero right out of the box! Horrible!" remember two things: 1. You are paying $7 and change for a digital caliper, and 2. There is a handy "zero" button on it which allows for you to determine where zero truly is on the tool! If you don't know why that needs to be there, don't buy a digital caliper.Worth the money.

Better than equally priced steel units on Amazon!
I bought these for one of my buyers to keep in his desk- they provide all the accuracy he'll ever need and the price is outstanding. I definitely prefer these polymer units to some of the equally budget minded steel units on Amazon. I'd give them 5 stars if they didn't call them "Carbon Fiber." It is what it is, and for 99% of users who don't run machine shops or program HAAS machines, these are just fine.

Nothing not to like.
There is nothing not to like about this caliper. It's all plastic. I mean everything except the electronics. Very light. Will never rust. Readings are repeatable and accurate. Manual scale is useless for readings if the electronics are not going, but that's why you have a manual vernier caliper stashed away somewhere safe. If you can't get a good reading off this, you are not getting good readings at all and the problem is not the tool. If you mash it, you can flex the tongs and get a bad reading but you are getting bad readings off the all-metal ones too if you handle them incorrectly.

I had a small very good caliper for years but I have misplaced it
I had a small very good caliper for years but I have misplaced it. I only need it maybe 6 or so times a year. After reading other reviews, for the price I felt that it would meet my needs. And it does it very well, Comes in a nice hard plastic protective case. Digital readout in decimal inch, decimal metric & fractional readout. I've already used it more that 6 times & am very happy with it for my use. I love the digital readout as my other (lost) one did not & it comes with a spare battery.

but for rough work this is perfect, espesally if you need to slightly modify it
acurate to withing 2 tho over one inch block, really depends on how hard you squeeze it but its a cheap plastic one, you get what you pay for, but for rough work this is perfect, espesally if you need to slightly modify it, for ten bucks, cut what ever slot you need for a part to fit properly

Functional and reliable tool for measurements
This works like a charm. I like that it has the external, internal and depth measurements. It is much more durable that I thought it would be. It zeros really well, but does have a tendency to turn on automatically with the slightest touch. The automatic on function is nice otherwise. Mine came with a plastic case that it can be stored in and came with an extra button battery. It has been accurate for my 3D printing needs and enabled me to design my first two 3d printable objects in Thingiverse.

It is what it is
My preference is a heavier tool with some push/pull resistance for fine measuring, but for the price, it works well.

Not as handy as my missing caliper I've had for ...
Not as handy as my missing caliper I've had for 50 years, but small enough. Also has a measure for depth (in a hole). I don't know if I'll need that feature but the rod comesextends whenever you use it and getting used to the obstacle. I will probably remove that feature. The digital is easier to read than the indices on my old caliper (eyes showing their age)
