Should be required reading!
Well thought out book with great ideas. Energy efficiency through age old ideas of facing the house to the south, prevailing weather, etc. Things we may have forgotten with modern conveniences like air conditioning and heating! Still important today!

An amazing story
If you don't know what an Earthship is, this will astonish you. It's a true story of living in a structure of recycled materials, completely off the grid. There should be more of these.

Probably a better book on the topic out there
I love the concept of earth ships and have been infatuated with them for a good while. I thought I would start reading up and this is the first book I bought. I don't think this was the right first book for the subject. It was very brief and was more suited to be an "Earthship Calendar". They put it together quickly and made a few editing mistakes. Not terrible but I feel other books out there are better.

Great intro (although the author rants a touch) into earthship concepts but after reading Earthship:How to build your own.I was disappointed in its lack of HOWTO content.Still worthy of my book collection all the same.

It was a little less detailed in the 'how to' area than I expected. A good basic, get you started thinking book.

copy of the frist book dosn't tell u anything new
its the same as the frist book he wrote about earth ships just less of it and a few more pic's .. save ur self the time just buy how to make a earth ship and pass this 1 up

Heating/cooling basics.
I would have preferred more details, plans and specifications but as a summary of concepts, this book starts the thinking process.
