Stephen's Test of Faith

A Latter-day Saint Review
As a Lattee-day Saint we have endured persecution, but to be honest I have not endured that much in my life, some but not as much as others. This movie really makes you realize that we are not that far removed from REAL christian persecution. There is so much fake persecution in the United States this movie talks about persecution that has happened in my life time. There is real hate and real persecution in the United States with what is going on with marriage. I pray that we won't experience the types of persecution spoken of but in the future people of faith will. This movie will help you and your kids realize they can stay strong.

Thought-provoking
This is a great short film. Granted, it does have a low budget feel and the sets are not entirely historically accurate (don't think Jesus and the disciples had modern-style candles at the last supper), but the storyline is certainly original. It's a great teaching tool and gets you thinking about what you would do if faced with severe persecution for your faith.

Grandson loved it.
I can rate for my grandson of age 9. He related to the main character and gave a good report of understanding of the theme and situation in which Stephen finds himself.

Family oriented
Good film for the family but the acting is pretty bad. but If the kids like it and learn something it's worth it.

God bless us, one and all
A testament to the good that comes from understanding the bible in the form of a short film/22 minute video highlighting the plight of a boy bullied at school during and after a show and tell class, and the kid's obstinate attitude - subsequently changed following a nightmare night dreaming about the persecution of christians in history. On the one hand the film depicts a quite blatant disregard and anti-christian slant, showing the consequences of having a faith in a god not recognised by the majority (either in earlier times or in contemporary times - the child bullies). On the other hand the film attempts, in a rather roundabout fashion, to show how redemption and enlightenment can be gleaned from taking stock of the situation one may have been placed in. The DVD is quite interesting and was bought solely because it was cheap to buy on Amazon Prime and was my 1st region 1 DVD purchase since I hacked my DVD player to make it multi-region capable. For what it does "Stephen's Test of Faith" is worthy of a 4 stars out of 5 review rating
