An excellent and bang up to date history of the CEC YT-1300 and inparticular the falcon from the latest 'Solo a star wars story' to 'The last Jedi' movies and everything in between. It answers a lot of niggly questions (well they were for me) like the 5 to 3 and back to 5 landing leg issue, the correct deck plan layout for the engine room and where the hyperdrive is and why the falcon has such a small cargo hold as it's not strictly a freighter but a tug. A really good, entertaining and complete reference book for anyone who is a star wars nut like me. Well recommended.

I ordered this Saturday night, and it arrived Sunday morning (Prime Member), it came well packaged and in perfect condition.The book itself is excellent! It goes into amazing detail, and is very well written. The various floor plans and ship diagrams and of a particular high quality. I've read it back to front. It stays well within cannon, but also honors legends continuity in a way that will make any nerd happy. I have already ordered the other books in this series.

I really like this book. It's filled with very detailed images and artwork. The text is interesting and enjoyable to read. Nice addition to my library of Sci-fi.

Neben dem Rasenden Falken (der Name verliert in der Übersetzung) zu verschiedenen Zeiten wird hier auch der YT-1300 in 3 verschiedenen Ausführungen (1300f, 1300p und 1300fp) mit Grundriss vorgestellt.Was ich noch besser fand war die Beschreibung der Vorläufer dieses Modells, jeweils mit Außenansicht.Der eine oder andere wird diese Außenansichten schon kennen, da sie (viel kleiner) bereits in vorherigen Veröffentlichungen (Star Wars Journal und andere Produkte vom damaligen Lizenzinhaber West End Games) verstreut zu finden waren.Hier hat man sie alle in vernünftiger Größe mit kurzer Beschreibung und Basisdaten.Dazu kommen noch eine Art Beiboot/Rettungskapsel die sich nahtlos in die Silhouette des Millennium Falcon einfügt und eine Art Güterzug für den YT-1300, die auch einen kleinen Jäger beinhalten kann.Für Leute, die Star Wars RPGs wie Edge of the Empire oder Age of Rebellion spielen oder leiten, eine echte Fundgrube für Leichte Frachter, die im Gegensatz zu den Schiffen in den FFG-Quellenbüchern (wo viele nicht illustriert sind) oder älteren Schiffssammlungen von WEG (die stellenweise übel illustriert sind) gut gezeichnet sind und das Aussehen eines Schiffes nicht der mehr oder minder gut ausgeprägten Fantasie des Spielers überlassen.Ich möchte weder FFG (die vorhandenen Illustrationen sind klasse) noch WEG (zu seiner Zeit sicher gut) herabwürdigen.Das Buch geht nicht so tief ins (pseudo-)technische Detail, wie man es von „Star Trek: The Next Generation Technical Manual“ kennt (und das ich auf seine Art auch schätze) ist aber meines Erachtens trotzdem ausführlich genug.Für mich ist das Buch eine gut sortierte Quelle für Szenarioideen, das ich nicht mehr missen möchte.Im Vergleich zu „Millennium Falcon Manual: Modified YT-1300 Corellian Freighter“ und der darauf basierenden Übersetzung von Heel ist hier „Solo“ (der Film) berücksichtigt und einige Fotos wurden ergänzt/ausgetauscht. Beim groben Vergleich fiel mir lediglich auf, das ein dort enthaltener MiniJäger (als Ersatz für eine Rettungskapsel) in dem neueren Manual nicht mehr auftaucht. Meiner persönlichen Meinung nach kein Verlust.Ich denke, wer das neue Manual hat, benötigt das alte nicht zusätzlich.Ich habe mir von diesem Buch noch ein zweites bestellt, eins für das Regal, eins für den Spieltisch.

Love this great updated edition! I also own the original from years ago, and this one is even better! Fully updated to include the events of Solo, The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi. An awesome tribute to the ongoing story of the Millennium Falcon!Only downside is it makes me wish (and almost believe) I can travel to the local CEC dealer and buy my very own YT series freighter! =P

I purchased this for my son, for Christmas, and neither he nor I were disappointed when we opened it. Chock full of interesting info about this class of Freighter that the Millenium Falcon came from. Lol, more info than I thought existed. Really great seeing all of the variants. We purchased the "updated" version which includes the Falcon from the recent "Solo" movie.

After reviewing this book, I am confident I can steal the nearest tramp freighter and fly it away to a star-spanning adventure! SUPER detailed and the look at various variant freighters was an unexpected treat.
