And every employee of that company must read it.Bill takes us through his journey from making sandwiches to making multi-billion dollar deals in SAP.Quite frankly, I did not know so much about Bill, despite him being CEO of my company. After reading this book, I am inspired to continue to drive my vision for the company, in whatever role I play - despite bad management, lack of rigor and focus that can be found in plenty inside a large company. One of my biggest learning is to put the people we work with in front of the work we do itself. I always prioritized outcomes over journeys. I wouldn't do that again! Thank you Bill for an eye-opening book. I wish I had read this book 5 years ago!

Most of McDermott's lessons are common sense. What distinguishes him more than anything else is probably that he was happy to take the initiative in different situations. Overall, the book - like the title & the cover - is over-egged.
