A bit too firm for me. Hoping it softens up a bit with use. But if you like firm…it is!

If you are looking for a firm, rectangular, slab of memory foam in a lightly padded sleeve, this is it! This pillow is very firm. It says one side is firm and the other side is extra firm, but I find it hard to tell the difference. The firm side is supposed to have a padded layer, but I can't feel a difference in the material thickness or padding on either side. maybe they should have made them different colors. I have personally favored shredded latex pillows for some years, so didn't expect to like this pillow at all, but decided to risk a night of sleep to test it (I only sleep moderately well anyway). When I initially lay my head on it, it felt like laying down on a block of wood, the corner of it felt like it was digging into my neck and I thought no way was this pillow going to be possible to sleep comfortably on. But after a few minutes it seemed to warm up / soften up, or just slowly compress to contour to my head and neck a bit more most likely. And then I was asleep and I slept pretty well. I still went through my normal nightly ritual of semi-waking after about 5 hours on my back to sleep for a while on one side for an hour or so, then the other side. And surprisingly, despite not being a squishy pillow that I could squeeze into different shape / thickness for side vs back sleeping, always just being a big slab of super firm foam... the pillow is comfortable for both side and back sleeping. I still wonder if this level of extra firm foam would be better shaped into a more ergonomic pillow shape, for specific neck and head support, but I'm no expert. It is definitely offering a lot of support, I just have no idea if the way it is supporting my head and neck is good for my spine or not. But after two nights with it I'm not waking up with a sore neck or anything, so hopefully it's good. All-in-all, if you are looking for a super firm pillow, this is that and I can't imagine you'll be disappointed by it. And if you aren't looking for a super firm pillow, you probably don't want this, but you might be surprised by how much more comfortable it is than you would expect. So far I haven't felt like switching back to my shredded latex pillow, so this may, much to my surprise, become my new main pillow.

I’ve had this pillow for a few days, and I already love it. It’s firm but super comfortable, and it gives great support for my neck and lower back. I’m sleeping better and waking up without pain. I’m so happy with it that I’m planning to buy more to replace all my old pillows!

I just received the pillow and there is a tiny bug on the inside of the packaging. Returning. Def not opening or ordering a replacement. So disappointed! I have been looking for an extra firm pillow for a long time.

This is truly a firm pillow. I can only use the firm side as the extra firm side is too much for me.

This pillow absolutely lives up to the extra firm claim. If you’re looking for something that does not sink much at all, this is it. Because of how firm it is, I personally found side sleeping a little difficult—the pillow didn’t really want to conform to my shoulder and neck the way a softer pillow would. That said, back sleeping was a completely different story. Laying on my back felt great, and the pillow cradled my head just right without any pressure points. It held its shape well and felt very supportive throughout the night. Bonus mention: my floof clearly approved more than I did, because she slowly but confidently took over the pillow and pushed me right out of it 😂 So if you share your bed with pets, fair warning—you may need to order two. Great option for back sleepers who truly want an extra firm pillow.
