I was skeptical, but this really does work, albeit only in fairly small spaces. After charging it, you press and hold a small button on the base, place it somewhere, and it will activate after ten seconds. You probably don't want to be in close proximity as it's putting out UV light which isn't great for your eyes or skin. It also creates ozone (O3) from the O2 and UV interaction in the air, and you can tell this from the smell after a couple of minutes. Ozone has a smell similar to "fresh air after a thunderstorm"; it's very refreshing and pleasant, which is unfortunate as it's also toxic in concentrated doses. The UV and the ozone combination will indeed kill microbes in the immediate area, as well as scenting the air while it's present. You can use this in your car, fridges, smaller rooms and so on. A single charge gives 2 fifteen minute uses, and it recharges again in about half an hour. A nifty little gadget.

I use it in my bread bin to help stop mould (I make my own bread so no preservatives). The only snag is that it needs recharging after every two uses. It can be run off of a mains adaptor though. Seems to work OK but would not be bright enough for more than a very small space. Don't stare at the light as it is damaging.

This lamp is UV only, it doesn't produce ozone, so I had to return it. I previously bought similar lamp but with ozone, so I know how it should work. What is quite annoying, the return and refund take a long time, but the seller still has misleading info in product description and I had to buy in the end a more expensive product with refund still pending. What a waste of time!

The device was good, did purified the air but I was able to use it only 2 times ...After this, the battery was not recharging and I was close to damage the USB port of my laptop.Waste of time & money to return it to the seller.Perhaps I will get back the same thing, it is clear is no quality check in the world's second largest "economy" ...

Quite small in size, kept meat mould and nasty free for weeks while i dried it. Seemed to work.

this product kills ALL bacteria, viruses etc.. absolutely amazing... one of the best things I've ever bought

I've been using this to help with extra cleaning of pet enclosures and also used it to help with my friends mold issue on his walls. It's proven to be quite useful and effective! You can also lightly smell the ozone it produces, not at all unpleasant, but thankfully disperses fairly quickly as breathing ozone isn't the smartest move.

Not sure how useful a small uvc lamp is but for fridges and small spaces it's great, I was sceptical about whether or not this would be any good but it's built really well, it works as stated and you get 2 uses per charge, best price on Amazon for sure.
