How to place / locate Metatarsal Pad
I use both Pedag T-Form and Pedag Drop (1) functions with footwear that has removable insole (2) can be installed / positioned above or below the footwear insole, dependent on user preference (3) I use a self-tailored fastener (cut, trimmed, and rolled, adhesive side out) piece of duct-tape, under the Pad, to temporarily position and secure the Pad. ( 3a) Tip / Top of Metatarsal Pad should extend marginally above the geometric plane at the base of the big-toe metatarsal capsule, extending horizontally across the ball of foot. Shouldn't be behind, and not directly under the metatarsal capsule (4) Once satisfied with the location of the Pad, I outline the position with magic marker, then I remove the tailored duct-tape fastener, and then I apply duct-tape over the Pedag metatarsal pad, to ensure it remains in desired position (5) effective aid to relieve pain associated with metatarsalgia (5) I developed metatarsalgia (second toe ) and upon installing the pad, experienced immediate relief, and resumed hiking and walking the dogs. (6) But, the Pad isn't a panacea - metatarsalgia can require reduced stress on foot, i.e., reduced activity ( I terminated jogging for 3 months ) - (7) the use of a metatarsal pad and insole with proper arch support, worn a majority of the day. (7) I placed in all my footwear (8) I installed it in a pair of old jogging shoes that i washed and cleaned, to be worn exclusively in the house ( I don't wear footwear in the house, but for this one exception ) (9) I purchased Pedag insoles - with built in metatarsal pads - for other footwear, to obviate the need to constantly remove insoles with metatarsal pads from one pair of footwear and insert in a different pair. I like the Viva Sport as it fits in both jogging footwear and casual footwear. I also use the Viva Outdoor in my hiking Boots. (10) Pedag T-Form was more comfortable for my feet than the Pedag Drop, ( but my feet adjusted and I use both pads effectively ) Seeking professional medical care is recommended, as the first response to any medical issue; in context to this review - a licensed , Podiatrist, and / or a Primary Care Physician.

Assists greatly with pain
I am using these every day and after a week with them they do indeed work well. The silicone adheres well and does not move around without the sticky mess of similar products. Be sure you wash them with soap every night and let dry. They are ready to reuse very quickly. Pain has been reduced significantly as long as I continue to use the pads.

Where the heck do you stick it!
Neither the Drop and T-form products met my expectations. Not because the product was inferior, but the packaging provided absolutely no instruction on where to place the pad. And as other users described..once you put it in place its almost impossible to remove without destroying the product itself. It is meant to stick where you put it. The pads appeared to be well made, and probably comfortable...if you get it in the right spot. I think if the manuf. wants to improve this product there should be some type of chart enclosed showing instructing on the proper placement depending on the pain you are trying to eliminate. It just didn't work for me. Three stars for quality of product

Game Changer!
These were a game changer for me. I can actually walk without a limp. I have a bad hammer toe and thethe pain on the ball of my foot was intense. These pads are amazing. I expect I will reorder. It was mychiropractor that turned me on to this product.

Works perfectly and is well made
I have Neuroma issues on my right foot. I've had custom orthotics made, but in the summer time, I mostly wear open toe shoes that aren't orthotics friendly. I have tried various different Mfg's of metatarsal pads but found these are the best. Unlike other brands I've tried (and I've tried a variety), they stay put, they don't peel, and they provide just the right amount of pressure on the ball of my foot. The material is possibly vinyl or maybe a type of leather, but that doesn't seem to cause any issues for me. I have purchased these 3 times now (most recently to add to newly purchased shoes.) Even though most of my sandals/shoes are Crocs, I still like the extra support/pressure of the pad. I highly recommend them.

These are a life saver
I broke a bone in the ball of my foot years ago and according to the doctor it will never totally heal. He suggested these at that time - and I have- I have one in each of my shoes to allow me to stand for longer periods of time and to walk without discomfort. Cannot say enough good things about them. They have been a lifesaver.
