A BIAB'ers dream!
It is a big. It took close to 1 hour to get about 10 gallons of water boiling on an outdoor propane burner. However, I'm giving it 1 star (for now) because of this black stuff left behind. As recommended by many, I boiled straight water for a half-hour to build an oxidation layer. IS THIS BLACK STUFF THE OXIDATION LAYER??? If so I'll revise my rating. I'm just uncertain about brewing beer in the kettle as it is.UPDATE 5/4/15 - After doing further research, it seems that the black stuff is indeed the oxidation layer and I should not be concerned. With that in mind, I brewed my first all-grain, Brew In A Bag batch of beer a couple weeks ago and this kettle worked flawlessly. I only required a little over 7 gallons of water, which I was able to heat up in no time at all. I mashed for 60 minutes and with the additional 2-layer Infra-Stop wrap on the kettle and lid, the temperature only dropped a degree or two. The rest of the brew day went smooth, and while 15 gallons may be a little overkill, not having the fear of a boil-over was a huge relief. And no, at no point in time was a boil-over even remotely possible.I am docking 1-star from my review because during the boil, I did notice a few liquid splatters appear beneath the kettle. I didn’t see any obvious cracks or blemishes in the kettle but I also know it wasn’t an environmental issue because my brew area is covered. I also highly doubt it splashed out of the kettle since it was essentially only half full. I’ve also read reports of pinholes and cracks forming after a few boils, but in fairness I can’t recall for sure if that was for this kettle specifically. Either way, it’s something I’ll watch out for and will certainly update here if it is indeed a pinhole or crack.

10 Star pot for 2 Star price
I've had this pot (32 quart) for about 20 months now and I realized that I never posted a review of it. Simply put, I love this pot. I and a friend have put almost 100 batches of beer through this beast in those 20 months and this thing has held up like Rocky against Apollo Creed. Sure there are some dings and scratches here and there, but I would buy this again in a heartbeat. I was actually reminded to post a review because another friend wants to get into brewing and I was checking to see if Winware offered a 5 gallon size. If you're not hung up on blingy stainless pots, this is the guy you want. I wouldn't consider anything else. Matter of fact, Santa's bringing me a bigger one for Festivus this year if I can do some last minute good deeds and get in the clear.A few facts and some speculations:* There is production debris on the pot when you get it. Mine had aluminum dust from the manufacturing. Clean it well.* This pot turns black when you boil water in it. It is supposed to. It's called Aluminum Oxide and protects your food from the pot and your pot from the food. Don't scrub it off. Green scrubby is all the weapon you need to eliminate debris.* This pot could improve your 'love life.' I've gotten married since I started using this pot. Coincidence? Probably, but you can't rule out a correlation.* I comfortably but diligently boil 7 gallons of wort in this pot. Watch it close and you are golden.* The aluminum of this pot is really thick and might stop a low caliber bullet. It is too big to work as a helmet, and too small to hide inside of though. That's all that I can think of for now. I would give this pot 10 stars if the overlords at Amazon would let me.

PASTA AND RIBS AND ALL THAT OTHER S***
This is for LARGE BATCH ITEMS. I purchased as a spaghetti dinner pot ( I paid under $25.00)It's great for Holidays, BBQs, and many are using it as a HOME Brew POT. Or a monster size OF CHILLI. It's not pretty, and will discolor, unless you clean after every use with bar keepers friend, which I STRONGLY suggest. It's not pretty, but it's highly functional. I guess like a not- so- hot wife or husband ( hahaha, my sexist joke). But overall, at this price point, a home chef, will be pleased, and satisfied with the performance. I don't think it's heavy enough for a FULLY commercial kitchen. It is heavy and works well on a gas burner indoors. If you need a troth of sauce, or wanna really par-boil your ribs, this is perfect ( recipe at the end).take 8-10 pounds of PORK RIBS, score with a knife the underside5 granny smith applies sliced2 whole lemons cut in eighths2 limes cut in eighths3 cups of apple cider1 cup of orange juice1/2 cup of Corn Oil1/4 cup each of the following:vinegar ( white)saltpepperdark brown sugarNOW ADD SPICES:Tablespoon of the followingtyme,Allspice, lemon zest, cayenne peppercombine and then add 10 cups of waterLet the ribs SIMMER IN THE MIXTURE FOR 75 MINUTES, on Medium Heat Then let stand in Mixture for 2 HOURS.Then place on greased grill, outside for 15 minutes each side, cover in your favorite BBQ sauce, or Serve sauce on the side.this are ribs, I have won money for, and people pay me to make every year.ENJOY!

What you see is what you get
its heavy duty, thick walled and exactly as described. for the price you cant beat this stock pot. i am using it as a vacuum pressure chamber for degassing of resins and such, far from soups and stocks lol, but the thick gauge wall is perfect for that. cant ask for more for the price, thanks.edit: i measured the thickness with a caliper and it was 3.8mm at the rim and slightly thinner below. still thick gauge but not the indicated 4-4.75mm in the specifications.

Good Quality
I was worried about the quality of the pot as there is an aluminum pot on the market the is just very thin aluminum and is very easy too burn a hole in. This pot that I purchased is excellent.
