iSwimband Personal Drowning Detection System for iOS (Sunfish Yellow)

I was skeptical after reading a few reviews but decide to try it anyways. After getting the product, I downloaded the app on to my phone and I took my son to his swimming lesson. While there is obviously no substitute for supervision, the product works as advertised. I had my boy wear the band on his head and it when off once during the swim exercises - when he took it off and held it in his hand underwater- which is a good thing. The device as I understand it alerts you when it is submerged underwater of a period of time and it did exactly that. I was concerned that it would go off inadvertently every time it touched water. If you believe any product would save a person from drowning, move on but I think this product would certainly provide an alert system (with the bluetooth range) that can reduce the number of undetected or under-supervised swimming student in danger.

I bought 2 of these devices for my 2 and 4 year old girls.I don't think this product has been developed enough to be sold to the public.1- to activate the device you need to "tap it 5 times until a light turns on". On both devices I had to tap multiple times until I saw a light blinking. On one of the devices it took me 2 minutes to get the device to work. Can't you have a switch?2- there is no user's manual. Only a very simple quick start guide. Nothing in the box or online.3- MOST IMPORTANT - I set both devices on a iPhone 6 Plus as "non swimmers" so that I would get an immediate alert. I filled the kitchen sink with water and fully submerged both devices and NOTHING. One of the devices triggered an alert about 3 minutes after I had been submerged. The other never did. I tested the devices separately again and same results.Maybe it is me that does not know how to properly operate the devices but again no users manual in the box or on line.My kids are too important to me to leave it to chance and hope the iswimband works.

I bought eight of these. Four for my family, and four more to give to my sister for her growing family. What a great purchase. With a pool in the back yard and many, many distractions in our day, it is comforting to have a little piece of mind.The iSwimband works as advertised. Contrary to some of the other posts here, we found it easy to set up and use. Our results have been very good, with the alerts happening when they are supposed to. It's very nice to know that there is a little bit of help around the pool when we're all together.I highly recommend the iSwimband. It's a simple, affordable product which comes with peace of mind. Worth every penny to know that my family will be safer around the pool this summer.

I use this product on my 7 year old son, who is a pretty good swimmer. We have an outdoor pool and this gives me the confidence to be able to leave him unattended for a few minutes at a time. I'm obviously not going to leave him out there unattended for long periods, but for those times i have to run into the house for something, i feel better that he has this on and I will know if something happens. Very easy to setup and works as advertised.

The battery was dead when it cameI forgot to return it and now am stuck with it.The software is old and doesn't connect to Iphone 6 or aboveRipoff!!

We purchase two different bands and neither of them alerted when placed in water. Not dependable and dangerous if they aren't reliable.

Will not work with the Iphone software contacted manufacture. They asked me to wait before sending for a call...Never called

You cannot download the app. Useless
