Gorgeous book!
Lovely photographs of Venezia and its bar food! I enjoyjust reading the book for a vicarious thrill until I canget back to this city I love so much...meanwhile we will be makingcicchetti!

Nice Cover, Good Book!
This is a nice cover, isn't it? The quality carries through inside! It features attractive photos of the prepared recipes as well as the Italian countryside. The first part of the book is an extended collection of Venetian recipes for cicchetti, the Venetian version of tapas. The rest of the book is a collection of appetizers from the other regions of Italy, fewer recipes per region than the Venetian recipes, which are the focus of the book. There are also a small number of interesting recipes for Venetian aperitifs like grappa flavored with cumin seeds or a Campari and proseco spritz. The recipes are simple and authentic. A few are reiterations of recipes that are pretty well known already--I don't really need another recipe for arancini--but the emphasis on Venice and Venetian ingredients like seafood and radicchio is nice and I'm glad I added this book to my cookbook collection.

Love this recipe book!
Didn't expect the variety this book presents. The recipes are fresh and relatively easy, instructions are clear. Would definitley buy again!

Delicious!
My son Michael is the executive chef of the restaurant CICCHETI in Chicago and I bought it for him.boss Dan had given him a copy already so I am enjoying it. It is different than the Italian cooking Iknow but very luscious. Small plates are great.

Great book!
I spent last summer in Italy and ate a lot of cicchetti. It's great to have some recipes to recreate those delicious little bites!
