Great case for traveling! And I'm a guy. Keep your stuff handy and secure.
I'm a guy and I admit it, I have a bag obsession. I bought this bag on a whim in preparation for an upcoming trip, and I really like this bag. Although I had an issue with the bag that they sent (some sewing was coming undone and I had to manually sew to repair), their customer service rapidly sent me a replacement bag and it is in top shape.I wanted to have a bag that I could keep attached to me and hold my electronics and valuables handy and secure when I walked around and when I was seated in the airplane.I used this on a recent trip; inside the bag I put a host of items and was able to keep all things handy and secure throughout the trip including on the plane. It's a good feeling to have everything attached to you (in the bag) and eliminates the fear that you'll forget something -- you just put it in the bag on your chest. In the bag I put: my passport (in a pocket), an emory board, my iPod Touch in its case with earplugs, my wallet, and a Samsung 7" tablet, my eyeglasses in a hard case, my camera, two flashlights (never hurts to have a spare), my boarding passes, and a microfiber cloth. And there's room for more (like some food for the trip if it's not too large, maybe a granola bar or two). So how did I fit all this in? See the pictures. In the front pocket that's open but secured by the strap, I put the boarding passes and my passport to keep them handy--and secure--as I go through check-in and security. In the middle zippered pocket goes my camera, flashlight on the bottom, glass case, 2nd flashlight and microfiber cloth. In the back pocket (closest to my body) goes the 7" tablet, iPod Touch in a case, and my wallet (with a white cord I use to attach to my belt when I put it in my pocket); and in the internal pocket I put my passport for more secure storage, emory board, and used boarding passes. It'd also be a good place to put some cash or credit cards. This back pocket can also be used to hold some water bottles (if no wallet, and because there's room above what's shown for the top of the water bottle to fit) and a paperback book (remember them?) if you don't have a tablet.Fits nicely around my left shoulder and the zippers open in a way that when partly open they still hold onto contents when I rotate the bag to be behind me (doesn't happen too often as it's great in front). All in all I'm delighted with the backpack.UPDATE January, 2017. Still love the bag! Just returned from a trip across the country and the bag is great for flying on an airplane, they don't count it as a carry-on because it's wrapped around you. Great for holding credentials and the boarding pass, securely and handy; plus your Kindle (Paperwhite in a case for me) handy so you can read while standing in line or at your seat and stow it quickly. I am one of those who still have a flip-phone (i.e., dumb phone) and it fits in the small pocket on the strap, handy so that the phone is close to my ear so I can hear it ring better.UPDATE May 2018. Yep, still using it and still loving it. Just returned from 3 week trip in Europe, it was with me all the time. Inside I kept: Kindle, camera, small flashlight, passport in RFID bag. At times I added GPS, and iPod Touch. Advantage: as the bag is over my shoulder, they don't count it as a carry-on when flying, so I can have a large bag for overhead, another for under seat, and this one over my shoulder. Really helpful on the plane as it has my stuff on me so I won't lose anything when I get off. I would buy this again!

At first, it's nice. Used as intended. Then stitching unraveled and zipper fell off :(
I bought one in purple and one in green. I currently use the purple as my all-around, walk around the building mini-backpack during my workday breaks (I think the green might be more susceptible to staining while staining might be more hidden in the purple. So far, no stains although it's been a work-horse.) It took a few tries to figure out how to put it on cross body -- now I do it without thinking twice. I ignore the use of the buckle strap and its open pocket--I'm concerned something would slip out. Too bad the open pocket can't hold a water bottle there, but in a pinch, I just use one of the 2 zippered compartments for the water bottle. Mostly, I keep my car keys, wallet, cellphone etc in the two zippered compartments. It has a foreign (Chinese print) label (non-removable)--prompting my sister to hassle me for not buying a USA made carryall, but I didn't mind for this product since I didn't readily find something similar locally and apparently no one noticed it.I am changing my review from "love" to "don't like". My purple one didn't last past 3 months... I used almost daily: 3 months later , the stitching holding the base of one of the zippers started to unravel and the zipper slid right off--rendering one of the pouches unusable. Great concept but not long wear. I tried to see if there was a warranty but no reply. I still have the back-up green one. Knowing that the stitching might unravel, I'll relegate it to occasional use. (I'm not going to update my sister. She'll only tell me, "I told you so!")

Ideal for a trip like Disney World!
Just what we needed for our recent Disney World trip - perfection. We did not want a regular backpack to haul around, and then worry about rides, the bulkiness, etc. It was also 98 degrees so we wanted to have something light to tote around. My husband and I took turns wearing it - so works for both men and women. It held four rain ponchos, two smartphones, a sunblock stick, chap stick and a wallet. Went through some of the semi water rides (splash mountain, etc.) and everything inside was dry. Again, perfect fit for our needs!

A lifesaver?
My daughter carries this around with her. There's plenty of room for small toys, or her tablet, and a snack or two. She is also allergic to peanuts, and carries here epi-pen and anti-histamines in the pack. It's difficult to get here to carry her medicines, but carrying some of her fun items along with them makes it tolerable, and therefore I'm grateful. The bag is comfortable to carry. I have to carry it for her often so I have firsthand experience. It seems well made. It think it could stand to be washed after being dragged everywhere since June '16. The first 10 days she dragged it all over Universal Studios and Disney World. All the seems seam to be in good shape, and the zippers work fine, so I think it will hold up for a while longer.

Good hiking pack
I like this a lot for hiking. It's the perfect size to fit my phone, keys, and a 32oz. water bottle. It's well costructed to hug the body and sit where it's meant to without constant adjusting. If you're going to be hiking for hours though it may be better to get a 2 shoulder strap pack. This pack is not able to be worn on both sides, so you can't switch it if one shoulder starts to get sore/fatigued. I can wear it comfortably for 2 hours oh hiking, beyond that it gets a bit annoying.5 stars for size, convenience, quality, and value for the price. Only knocking one star off because you can't wear it on either shoulder.
