They do not work. Instructions are wrong. You are told to fill them up and then put the white tab on the zipper and draw it back and forth a few times until the zipper is completely closed. Then begin rolling up the bag to get the air out. With the zipper closed there is nowhere for the air to go. If you push hard, the zipper pops open and you have to start over which will result in the same problem again. Just ridiculous.

I really liked these bags. I've seen people complain that they don't hold air or that the zipper doesn't hold / stay on. It really depends on what you expect. I bought these for storage more than travel, but then my son went to a camp and needed to bring an entire bedding set with a bunch of other required items. I fit a set of sheets, a pillow, and a queen size blanket + everything else that was required for the camp in one suitcase with room to spare. Without the bags, the pillow alone would have taken up one third of the suitcase space. Yes, the zipper lock comes off easily if you pull it enough, BUT it also comes back on just as easily; so, I don't see a problem there. The bags themselves look very durable to me - I've packed them full of heavy shoes for a trip and after the trip the bag still looks like new (no rips or anything like that). So, the bottom line is I am a return customer now and have bought more of these both for storage and for traveling.

EXTREMELY CONVENIENT for my 2 week Europe tripping. I packed more than I should have, all thanks to these bags. Does take some time to get everything in the bag and aired out but you get the hang of it. I used my body weight to get all the air out so it isn't just a roll and go thing. i am currently packing for a 10 day trip with my family. we are a family of 5, so needless to say, we need to pack a lot of things. So far, i have packed 1 bag for my baby and 2 bags for my girls. it is making it so easy to pack. i also love that i wont need to look through the entire suitcase to find their clothes since they are all divided into bags.

Used these for a cross-country trip and they definitely allowed me to fit quite a bit more in my suitcase, including my pillow, which I also used a compression bag for. They are a bit hard to roll, as they are slippery and you have to be careful not to put too much in them. Also, the blue zipper pulls are not permanently attached, and easily fall off, so you have to be careful to keep track of them. All in all they definitely helped and I will use them again.

If you try to fly with as little of baggage as possible, like me, do yourself a favor and buy a set of these! They are simple, easy to use, and allow you to add probably an additional 20-50% more clothing to your suitcase than you'd be able to without them. So far, I have had no issues with them. It also makes finding things in your suitcase easier, because you can pack certain items together in these bags. A+ from me!

I travel a lot and am always looking for ways to fit more in my carry on as I do not check bags. These are very effective vacuum bags that are durable and easy to use. Yes, the zipper can fall off but this is the case in all travel bags. I highly recommend these to those who need to create room in their suitcase they work wonders.
