Dengeki Bunko: Fighting Climax

IMPORTANT: Note that this game is ONLY sold in JAPANESE. There is an English version available with translated story and menu but the only way I'm aware of to obtain it is to buy it through the PlayStation Store digitally for around $39.99 if I remember correctly. Any physical copy of this game is FULLY in Japanese. If you search online there is a site that links to a series of photos with the translated menus to help you navigate them if you decided to go with this version or bought it accidentally.Onto the review.I can't say enough kind words towards Dengeki Bunko, as they are probably one of my favorite publishers of all time. I hadn't even heard of the existence of this game when I found it on the PSVita digital games list and instantly started freaking out. Although I have to admit I'm a bit bummed Sadao Maou is only a support character in this game and that you can only play as Emi Yusa in the PS re-release that added some bonus content, but I still decided to make due.As far as fighting games go, this one is pretty basic. You have arena (aka arcade mode) and dream duel (you get a list of 5 characters to defeat one at a time in any order) modes to clear on every main character to unlock certain features. It really is a pretty standard 2D fighter in which you don't need to necessarily be able to understand to be able to play - although a word of advice: check your settings. I'm not sure if autosave was meant to be turned off from the beginning but mine was, ended up losing a good round worth of playtime before I realized this error. There is also a character customize feature that lets you buy color skins for each character and I surprisingly liked this feature more than I expected to.I mainly ordered this version because it was much cheaper than buying the English release and, yes, I am that cheap that I would be willing to buy a game in a language that I can only barely read just to save a few bucks. However, that being said I was amazed that this was sold as a "used" copy. When I received it it seemed to be still factory sealed, though it could've always just been resealed, but still. It looked to be in the best condition possible and was my first pre-owned PSVita game to actually come with any sort of booklet inside it - in this case a fold out featuring each of the main characters and their skill buttons and other general directions as well as a couple of merchandise ads! I just found that part amazing in itself.So all in all its a really fun game if you enjoy fighter games and want to play as characters that you probably won't see in any other games, in fact it can be rather addictive. Doesn't take long to clear each main character, but it still holds replay value.Wonderful game ♡

The game comes in earlier than expected. It includes the original box and some paper work, but all is in Japanese. The game works perfectly fine, frame rate is great because it does not lag. The game has about 12-ish playable characters which is fine but I wish they had more. There is an update when you install the game.

Arrived earlier than the ETA. New, sealed well and in good condition. The game itself is amazing, having my beloved heroes and heroines all in one game from many series. Earlier I bought J-all star which was also many favorite series all in one, both of them met my expectations.Thanks a lot

I love fighting games and anime and it's a great combo.

The package arrived in time ( very happy with it ) also the game itself has bubble wrap which is very good no scratches or anything.I would give this 10/10.

nonostante non sia un amante del genere ( i "picchiaduro") ho trovato questo gioco davvero piacevole , in stile street fighter 2D ottimo per una partita occasionale , l'unico difetto anche se credo che sia più per colpa mia , è la configurazione dei tasti, parlando più della "trama " è davvero avvincente la possibilità di usare i personaggi di alcune serie animate , come la mitica Mikoto Misaka soprannomonata RAILGUN , con una storyline per ogni personaggio ( più o meno non sono molto ferrato in giapponese ) .... consigliato a chi conosce i personaggi e/o ama il genere

Fun crossover fighter with simple controls and a decent amount of extra content.A translated version already exists and a newer one too, though I don't think that'll get translated any time soon... Still, I'd recommend ether one of those instead

VITA TVでプレイ出来ません。VITAに対戦格闘が少なかったので期待してたのですが・・・・。まぁ商品が悪いわけではなく、下調べが甘い自分のせいですけどね。

ゲーム自体のシステムはとても良かったです。もうちょっと多かったら楽しめたと思います。
