Really great
This alarm clock is amazing. I love the built in cd player and the fact that I can adjust the volume. Its so cool that you can set the alarm to play music to wake you up instead of the obnoxious noise it makes for the alarm. I also love the alarm noise because it actually makes me want to get up to turn it off and wakes me up in the process. the amount of buttons can be confusing at times, but once you figure them out its quite easy. This alarm clock is super super easy to use and I love waking up to my favorite song every morning.

An affordable CD/Radio combo with a headphone output
I bought this because it is hard to find a clock radio w/cd that includes a headphone jack. I connected to a set of stereo computer speakers w/bass module and it sounds terrific! Otherwise, it sounds like most any other small clock radio. I like the large variable brightness display. CDs are simply loaded in a non-mechanical, un-jamable fashion. The controls, however, are very small and not well marked. They are difficult to read if not in a well-lighted area. Setting the alarms is somewhat confusing. I found it easier to operate using the thoughtfully included wireless remote.

Love it so far! Hopefully it lasts!
Love it so far. The kids like to fall asleep listening to a CD so it's a must-have for us. We've been through just about every CD alarm clock that is made and they're all junk. Either they arrive with the CD player not working, they are full of static, they're DOA, or the CD player stops working shortly after receiving it. I'll update this review if things change, but so far so good! Although it is made in China, the quality appears better than the other CD alarm clocks we have been through. Sound quality isn't great, but it is full, not tinny. Digital adjustments for radio stations and volume, and it isn't hard to set the clock. I don't love that you have to hold the power button to turn it off (as opposed to just pressing it), but we'll get used to it. The kids love the colors (blue and pink), they are compact in size which is great for their nightstand, and it does flip back to tell you the time while the CD is playing. All great features. Other features such as USB and AUX audio...I highly doubt we'll ever use them. Same for the remote control. Fingers crossed that these last!

Frustrating to program the alarm!
I honestly cannot say that I'm impressed with this alarm clock if only because it's so frustrating just to set the actual alarm setting and I used both sets of instructions! Now I'm normally good with figuring out how to set the alarm, but not with this type of model! I had to re-read both instructions several times just to make sure I was following them correctly! And just pressing either alarm "A" or alarm "B" was frustrating because the stupid machine thought I was trying to program the alarm settings when all I was trying to do was just turn on the alarm so it wakes me up! Sadly, I'm going to keep it if only because of the amount I paid for but people, please do yourselves a favor and skip this model! So not worth the money!!!

Very satisfied with this item.
I like falling off to sleep listening to music. I don't require it but it's nice to have.I frequently go out to a cabin that we have a a remote area. I have a very good radio there which is a Bose (first gen, no CD player-- still superb radio). Unfortunately, even with a Bose antenna it cannot pull in any station that plays music I like (classical). I bought this item-- the "dpnao" because its listing info seems to have what I wanted: a CD player, remote, and sleep function. It has them all and they work beautifully. I pop in a CD, hit whatever time amount I feel I'll need, and fall off to sleep. Its sound quality is not Bose but it's darned good. One thing that surprised me regarding its radio function (FM only) was that it was able to bring in more stations than the Bose including an NPR station (my Bose can't receive it) that occasionally has classical music (but unfortunately fills its airtime mainly with lame palaver). The remote is simple to grasp (both dexterously and comprehension-wise). Its sleep button when depressed is 120 (minutes), pressed again 90, 60, 30, THEN with every press one minute less to 10. In addition, the large red digital numbers (I prefer red as a color rather than blue or green which I find more penetrating-- I don't want that in a bedroom at night; red, somewhat counter-intuitively, is easier on my sensibilities) can be dimmed to half intensity (my estimate of the reduced brightness) OR black altogether. The unit looks good. All in all, an excellent purchase well worth the purchase price (I may buy another one).

Mine doesn't work that well; maybe yours will
The clock radio does in fact have a working clock, a working radio, and a working cd player. When the alarm goes off, I can hit the snooze and shut off the alarm, but there won't be another alarm later, so at my age, I have trained myself to just get out of bed. My auxiliary portal also doesn't work. The instructions are terrible and I'm not sure what is malfunctioning or what is user error. It took me forever to figure out I had to turn the radio off to set the alarm, and then just turn the radio back on. Why did I keep it and not return it? I'm lazy. I like the radio and I like the clock and I had three things I ordered that week that didn't work out and I was tired of packing things up and returning them. My friends said, "Just use your cell phone!" So, I am.

Unit didn't live up to expectations
Was a good size for my bedside table, but ridiculously hard to program even with instructions! After an hour or more, I still couldn't program the cd player to alarm/wake mode; it wasn't worth the price paid, and my frustration level was high, so I returned the product and bought a refurbished Sony; can't go wrong with Sony and price was comparable. Much more user-friendly; programmed within minutes!
