hexagon crimp!
I can't imagine going back to square crimp. The hexagon shape makes it much easier to get a good bite as you clamp the terminal down no matter how short your wire and the bend you have to make to reach the terminal is.I got a good connection and signal quality was perfect.The crimp was strong, without requiring too much grip strength and the size of the grip itself fits both my giant and my wife's petite hands. Comfortable too if working ungloved.

Does the job without costing too much.
Bought this to go with a kit of wire ferrules. Looked at another brand I will not name and they wanted almost three hundred dollars for it. This does the same thing without costing way too much. Never had a wire ferrule crimp fail. Very easy to use and it's inexpensive. Absolute no brainer.

Ferrule Crimpers
I have a few pairs of these in use now for a month in a small panel shop. They work well and don't seem to be wearing much with daily use. most use is on 18-10ga ferrules.

A good solid crimping tool
These crimp very well. I use them mainly on 18awg and 24/28awg ferrules. The tool seems well made. I have a couple issues, they open fairly widely which is a bit uncomfortable (I had big hands too) and the small screw that secures the tension cam was not formed correctly.I would recommend these for use with both cable clamp and screw type terminals. I would also recommend applying a sticker or mark on one side so you pick up the tool in the correct orientation. It can save a lot of time when you're crimping 800 wire ends.

Quality crimper, in use for quite a while.
I've used quite a few different crimping tools over the years, this is definitely a quality product.Tip: If the tool is "over crimping" and causing the ferrule to fall apart, you can reduce the crimp pressure by adjusting the dial on the side (after removing the small screw). A lot of issues can be resolved by adjusting this for the application.Many of the negative reviews I've seen for this tool could probably be resolved by using better materials and/or sticking to the application they are intended for.

8 years of heavy use.
I have used these daily for several years now and they are still going strong. I keep waiting on them to break so I can spend more money on the German tool, but at this rate I'll retire first.
