I tried preparing mozzarella sticks in the microwave using these ...
I tried preparing mozzarella sticks in the microwave using these, and the results were far from crisp or satisfying. They may be helpful for some reheating tasks in a microwave but they do not deliver crisp food as advertised, in my experience.

Really like the texture of food nuked in the bag!
These are the first products that I've tried for microwave browning. So far, we've cooked hash brown patties and hot dogs. I must say that I do like the texture of these foods much better when nuked inside the bag. Looking forward to trying popcorn and then fish fillets next.Basically, the bags have a very thin metal film inside, which produces a much higher temperature where it is in contact with the food. The higher temperature is in the 350-400 degree neighborhood, similar to a traditional oven, rather than the 212 degree neighborhood normally produced in microwave cooking. This produces a crispier and browner outside on the food.Unlike the disposable packaging that comes with products like hot pockets, these bags are reusable. From what I've read, I understand that the disposable packaging loses performance after a single use. We've used just one of the small bags for most of a week now, for both the potato patties and the hot dogs. That would be 15 or so uses. The hot dogs produce a great deal of grease, which is now soaking thru to the outside paper of the bag after 2 pkgs of dogs. I will dispose of this bag shortly. With just the potato patties, I could have used a bag much longer. Just a wipe inside with paper towel and it was relatively clean. The directions with the cooking bags are a little outdated- times based upon 700 watt oven. It took me a bit of futzing around to find the correct cooking times. I can't really count that as a big negative- seems like every new product takes a bit of a learning curve.

there is NOTHING ever that is perfect.. BUT!!! I love'em :-)
Folks, there is NOTHING ever that is perfect... not even that "perfect" mate you found that is now just the most important part of your life, perfect or not :-)... These Crisper bags are the same... there are times they can work incredibly well, and other times...I think when they do not work, they are being used incorrectly... many foods (for me pre-fried chicken and perhaps fries) have enough moisture in them that if you close the bag up tight (like I think some folks, maybe even the packaging instruction suggests) You will wind up with a STEAM cooked limpy wimpy excuse for you thought you were going to wind up with. BUT!! there is a simple way to fix it!... leave the bag opened!!!! Let the steam escape OUT of the bag... experiment with how wide to leave the bag open to get you desired crispy.... AND, of course, DO NOT over-stuff the bag!!!May you find the way to make these crisper bags work for you... I just wish there were "sheets/rolls" of this stuff to handle things that a bag cannot handle.... lemme know.... dan at qoinage dot com [email protected] think I already submitted this... someone wanna send a cookie or something to make it stop so I can update MY stuff!

Ok, but a little wasteful
I tried these and found them to be fairly useful if you're looking for an alternative way to microwave your foods. Some said you can reuse these, but I cannot see how that is the case and I wouldn't recommend it so I didn't like the feeling of creating trash every meal. Plus these could get costly over time.. I just recently purchased a Mircoheart Microwave Pan and WOW. If you plan on using something to brown/grill/crisp foods long term, get that save the planet and your money!

Small size, no browning, not reuseable
I've used this product about ten times. The 1st thing I noticed is the small size of the large bags. You will not be able to get a normal supermarket 4 or 5 lb. chicken into the large bag. You'll have to cut the chicken in two and cook each half separately. As for browning/crisping, forget it. I've cooked chicken in a powerful microwave for as long as 12 minutes a side (24 min.) with no noticeable browning/crisping in both a covered casserole dish & w/o a dish. On the positive side, the chicken came out juicy and flavorful. Further, if you want to reuse the bag, you'll have to drain the grease & spend considerable time reaching in the narrow opening trying to remove fat & baked on bits. Not a fun experience. I've torn my bags apart so I could wrap the chicken and tie the pieces around the chicken with string. But, I haven't tried this method yet. I haven't tried anything but chicken so far. In conclusion, I don't see any difference between the bags and cooking chicken in a covered casserole dish. One star if that much.

Hot but not Crisp
Although I knew I was taking a risk by purchasing the item, it did not do exactly what I needed. I was looking for a item to heat a slice of pizza keeping the dough crisp. Unfortunately it did not do the job.

Excellent for roasting meats and veggies in microwave...
I used these the other day to do some sliced potato's and venson from the wild reindeer I found wandering through my camp dragging a sleigh with him , inside it were two very inebriated elves who apparently had landed somewhere near my neighbors still recently and were curious enough to sample, re-sample and continue to sample the newest batch. Sometime later -after I enjoyed my very well baked potato's (6 minutes in the small microwave by my castle front door) -I saw several other reindeer being lead by some old fat guy in a red suit who was shouting something like "Merry Christmas!" -when I pointed out the way the other reindeer had gone, he offered me some cookies and milk and asked if I had been a good boy all year...so i decided not to tell him about the venison after all.UPDATE: (6/15/2016) - you can cook single hamburgers in the smaller ones by cutting through the upraised lip strip into the bag itself in two places about 2 inches apart on the marked "upper side" - and in a mid size microwave these cook up fine in 3 1/2 minutes. I regularly use them for this as they are fast and you can just carefully pour off all the grease after cooking by tilting the bag into the sink or into a bowl as you remove it from the microwave. A mid size brown skin baked potato took about 6 minutes to be soft and mashable.
