Finally, Thinking about "Nothing" Explained!
This book is essentially all of the information that Mark Gungor puts in his "Tale of Two Brains" event (and if you are considering this book, and haven't seen Gungor's 'Tale of Two Brains', hie thee to YouTube *right now*, and watch it (be sure to watch the full 2-hour one, even if you have to watch it in pieces). Note that even though this is real, and excellent, relationship stuff, YouTube lists it under 'Comedy', and there's a reason - because it is *very* funny, while still giving really useful information for both people in the relationship (watch it with your spouse or significant other - I promise you'll both like it and be glad that you did!)Ladies: a special bonus - the video is worth watching, and the book worth reading, if for no other reason that it *finally* explains in a way that we women can understand, what he means when you ask him what he's thinking about and he says "nothing". Worth the price right there, don't you think?!Gents: a special bonus - the video is worth watching, and the book worth reading, if for no other reason that it *finally* explains in a way that women can understand, what you mean when you tell us that you are thinking about nothing. And when we understand it, we back off! ;~)

If you want to learn to communicate with men this is the book
if you want to learn to communicate with men this is the book it does not matter if you are single or married as a female this book was an eye-opener. A great book. It will kind of piss you off because it is the truth. I not only learned how to communicate with my husband but with the male period. I wish I had this information when I was dating for when I was younger. But now married for 15 years I guess better later than never. I bought the book for five of my girlfriends and my daughter. My husband did not join me in reading it, which the author said he wouldn't and explained why. It took me a while to finish it because I had to marinate on the information that I was reading. I learned a lot and a lot was confirmed.

Good to know!
I really did learn a lot from this book. I am over 60 and still always looking to learn and improve to the end. I am female, so reading this from a male perspective was interesting.

and loved watching his show Love
Read his book a few years back as a teenager, and loved watching his show Love, Marriage and Stinking Thinking. Now on the internet radio as The Mark Gungor Show. This book is something that everyone needs to read, as he gives you a brand new perspective on marriage and why marriages are they way it is today. The book breaks down each situation differently as he gives his own experiences as a Marriage speaker and Pastor. The book also references some Biblical scripture's concerning marriage, and the reason why these scriptures work in the real world. Besides the reasons why people aren't doing marriages correctly. As he states, this is for people who is seeking a better approach to saving their marriages, and not for people who are not interested in hearing what he has to say. Personally wither you believe in the Bible or not, you wouldn't want to put this book down until you do compare and contrast to everything he says vs. things you've experience in your life.

Great read no matter where you are in your marriage. This book can make it better.
If you have been married for a number of years and feel your marriage has lost its initial spark, this is a great place to start putting relationships in perspective for both of you. It is designed to help you understand each others way of thinking and help read the other based on what motovates them, what makes them who they are and how these things can become points of contention. If you arfe thinking about getting married it is a great place to start our new life together. It provides the opportunity to look at your new life and roles you play as you grow in your relationship. A great way to avoid fixing some of the things that often creep into a marraige as the years pass.Mark's Flag Page is also a great step to knowing your self and your partners inner self in a very understandable way. No psychobabble, no drama. Just a good basis to help you see your selves in a really simple and clearly defined way that leads to a better partnership.

Basically for women
I bought this for a girls night book club. It's a great book, the authors is very funny and theres lots of discussion facilitated. He talks about mostly women (so I'd say this book is geared toward married women) and offers good, basic, straight to the point information. We read one chapter at a time and enjoyed talking about it. Con: he doesnt have questions to further facilitate discussion. I was expecting it to have questions to provoke thoughts. Overall good book.

Much More Practical Than Analogies About Mars and Venus!
If you have seen MarknGungor's hillarious YouTube videos on how to more than survive marriage, but have a very happy marriage, then you kind of know what is in this book. Very readable, very practical, and somehow more believable than Mars and Venus theories. If you feel you don't really understand your husband or your wife - this book could be holding the keys you needto unlock a happier relationship. (It's not about changing so much as understanding.)

A must read
A must read for those planning to get married! Hilarious but realistic. Easy to read and to digest with alot of very helpful advice and insight. This would make for a great stand up performance! Gets more sober as the book develops - which is good. Read it in no time and it didn't feel like a chore. Will read it again :)

Refreshingly real & full of humour and Truth
I've been listening to Mark's online radio show (podcast) for months now. He's a real blessing to marriages. He's challenging and confrontational like none other. His unreligious and honest, but still knows grace and gives from hope. I'm reading this book with my Bride of 15 years and we're enjoying and benefiting from

A bit of a curate's egg
Not as good as the you tube videos as strays to often into God territory where he loses a non religious audience despite making some valid points. Not for the very liberal either.
